The Ragnarok, there are many terms to that, so I don't know exactly which you are meaning. I remember your last banner, Cloud with a sword, if that is what you mean?

Omnislash, I've had this avy for a while now ^_^

I've really gotten into animation recently. Not just sprite animation, but hand drawen stuff as well. Smoothing frame by frame can be tedious at times, but the result is good.

- hair
- clothes
- faces (smiling, angry...) *can create your own
- poses (standing, walking, runing, fighting...) *can create your own
- lights (summer, disco...) *can create your own
- & other things *?

So in Poser u just chose a model give it some hair (or not), dress it (or not

), give it a smiling or angry face..., give it a cool pose......

Currently i'm creating something with Bryce, the only thing remaining is to render it...endless pain

& i should get started on that wallpaper for the contest...

btw...i'll show you the Bryce thingie after it's rendered...

Cant come up with good idea for a wp... must come up with idea... why! WHY must my mind be an endless void when I enter myself in a wp contest? Not fair! I've made one wp... which if I find myself unable to do anything better will go ahead and use it, but for now... I realy need some good ideas!

Vivi I am surprised that you did start on it sooner. You knew that you were going to be in it weeks ago. Though I would suggest that you find an image you like of a character of just let your mind go from there. That is how I work, it could help break your fog.

Hmm, I figured as much SephiRok. Sounds like an interesting program, might have to download it sometime. But quite busy.

And Omni, yeah I know that feeling of animation. Traditional style is quite slow, I am in an animation class currently. And we have final that has to be a couple minutes in length, you know how many frames that is going. A lot, lol, I wish you luck on your own indevour and as you said. Tedious as it is in the beginning, the rewards are great at the end.

Wow SephiRok.I'd Imagine that it would be an awesome program for making CGs and making characters for RPs. I have to get that program. Probuly a lot of money i'll have to get it at one point and time. For now i have a few backgrounds i made. It would be nice for the rating Note:they are 800x600 for better viewing.

I like the first one Rinoa, though the others look too much like a texture or pattern repeated. I can see the repeats in the third, which you might want to fix. They are good color designs, just I think the textures work against them a little.

I've finished my wallpaper now for the contest. I'm amazed I finished it, I only started it on Monday and finishe it yesterday. I had to rush as today and tomorrow I'm too busy.

I wouldn't mind getting poser. I think my friend has a similar program though I could just get him to burn for me, It's caled Vue Des'prit or something weird like that.

Well I put up a new avy as the request of someone. I did this edit a month or so ago back for someone. I was having fun and did it for them. So don't know what prompted them, but they asked me to put it in my avy. As you know already I had to edit ears on to her hair, which was some what of a challenge, though it seemed to work well enough.

Question to you guys who own a 3D program (or have used one for a while). Which one is the best?

Bryce (I heard this renders very slowly)
Poser
Maya
... other?

I need something that doesn't just model stuff. Also able to make abstract, noises..the like. I have 3DSM but it's a hella huge file and it's taken a huge chunk of my disk space.

ak: got your email, although you emailed it to the wrong address!! k2@1nevitable.net...remember, lol? anyway, i just started using cinema 4d. it doesn't take up as much room as 3dsm, and i find it just as good. it was used to make my banner, and i think i posted some links to some other stuff that i made with it in a previous post. also, i couldn't try the code that you sent me in the email, im away from home. although, i think ive tried that before and it still didn't work.

i guess ill try again though.

Maya is not very user friendly, so if you don't know the software, it'll probably take you a few weeks just to attempt to try something. lol, I am in that boat.

3-D Studio Max is a very user friendly program, though probably not as powerful as Maya, you can do a lot with it. Plus is it is compatible with AutoCAD.

Poser from what has been said is strictly select what you want and add a library of accessories, not a lot of freedom or control.

So it depends on what you want to and the power and control you want. I would suggest 3-D Studio Max unless you are wanting to do heavy character modeling and that sort, then it would Maya. As Studio can do scenes probably as well as Maya.

And thanks K^2, it is fun a little thing isn't she. Cute ears. ^_^
