Photoshop Beginings

what I am having the most trouble with it putting in color where I need it. I keep cloring the entire thing instead of just the back ground image. It is driving me insane. It is not like Paint shop. Where you have a little can or paint, or the pencil that allows you to color in certain area's. That an I can't seem to cut am image out of it's own back ground. Thank you Odin.

See that magic wand? Click on the area you want gone and press delete, the only problem is it doesn't always grab everything you want, if it is a big area then use the eraser, otherwise do it bit by bit. As for the colour press ctrl + U, this opens the menu and you can choose to altar the whole thing to be various shades of 1 colour, or you can chose individual colours. I need to learn to do shading myself

Well, I see a definite improvement going on here. You could still make use of some of the more better fonts, though. You can get some pretty damn nice fonts on...

There's only a few fonts that are free on Misprintedtype, but they are very interesting fonts. And... dafont.com has a HUGE collection of fonts, all free. There you can get practically any font you want, like computer game themed fonts, and so on.

Annnd another thing. Font colour. Always stick to really light fonts for dark backgrounds, and really dark fonts for lighter backgrounds. Like your most recent one. That font colour is ugly and really messes around with your eyes. White would work so much better.

Starting to look much better. You do keep a backup of all your graphics saved as a .psd file, don't you? It's always handy to do that if you wanna go back and rework on some of your graphics, because it doesn't merge all the layers together when you save them that way.

Hey! you have come quite a ways! It took me time to work out photoshop, so just keep sticking at it. you'll get quicker and also know what to use for the exact result you want. Im really impressed by the way yourve taken good advice and put it to use! If you have any more questions, i'll try my best to help. =)

Thanks bunchies! I have been wondering how to put in animated text for awhile. I downloaded some new fints, but I don't know how to attach them . I have been kinda working at it all though. Most I can do at the moment is erase the background, but I wanna be able to just blur it together. I am using my sig for my example work these days.

I was bored last night and made a chick sig here, its not finished yet though just wondering what else I can do with it.

Maybe a cool looking border an some cute pink ribbons on the cornors. Other than that I think it is quite the beauty I am glad you liked it. I started off with only a pic of Kiteena, and blue flames.So I customized it majorly^^. I am learning^^. Thank you for the inspiration Odin.

You can put moving images into sigs. Using Adobe image Ready, you can put almost anything into a sig. Like a clipout from a movie, or just a simple animation. Take my Reno tag I made.
