CRISIS CORE: It's out, and it's awesome.

Okay, so I just got a game over. Yes, a game over. In a Final Fantasy game. That's freaking unheard of! I started up my FFVII:CC on hard mode, and nearly finished off the first major story section (not the opening and its training mission with a certain someone *avoiding spoilers*) when it happened. GAME OVER.

Ouch.

I don't think I've ever been so heartbroken. It was awesome.

Playing Crisis Core is like playing Rogue Galaxy -- if you've ever played it, you'll already have a basic idea of what the gameplay is like in Crisis Core. The controls are certainly unique, using L&R to scroll through options during battle. The game certainly requires a level of attention I've not found myself giving to a Final Fantasy game before, save maybe FFXI.

I don't really have much to say in regards to the story yet. I've only clocked an hour on the game, a large part of which was storyline (and part of it spent talking to co-workers while playing), but I've loved every second of it. The learning curve for the battle system goes really quickly. I would certainly recommend either reading the instruction booklet or reading through the tutorial "emails" which the game provides to you. Either/both will be useful tools.

I just bought it too. I preordered at Best Buy and got the special shiny case. I won't be able to play it until at least Saturday, as my brother-in-law has gone to Colorado on business and he absconded with my PSP.

By the same token, I can't play my shiny new GoW:CoO either.

I don't have the game but I've been seeing previews on it on T.V. for a while now. The game does look damn awesome. And yesterday, I checked out reviews and peoples opinions over the net and I'm hearing good things about this game. Makes me wish I had a PSP. The graphics look amazing though. After seeing the commercial, I realize that I need a PSP now!!!!

OMG I love this game I got it yesterday and yea its flippin amazing I actually LIKE SEPHIROTH ya know its not like he's heartless anymore you know why hes whacked up as he is now and genesis and angeal are awesome especially genesis I've started quoting LOVELESS now lol

yea I'm gonna play it 3 times 1:normal mode for story 2:hard mode and try for 100% completion 3: use the cursed playthrough challange

cause this game is too good and short to be played once

I just got the game the other day, and i must say it's amazing. The graphics, the sound, the story, the characters, simply AMAZING. I like the battle system, it seems like a more polished version of the one in FFXII. The materia system is neat, i like the fusing materia option. The mail gets a bit annoying at times, and so does the DMW or whatever. Also... its quite odd seeing Sephiroth acting like a human being... it just... doesn't fit!

It's good and it's worth it to buy it.

The game starts out easier, (not trying to ridicule you, Loco) and then gets harder as the gamer goes along. The AI begins to learn as you fight it over time. You'll need better tactics and combos later in the game, not just button mashing anymore.

Depending on how you leveled up, the beginning can be quite hard.

Haha, it's cool man. I was going about the fight all wrong. I like games that have a bit of a challenge to them, even if the solution is as simple as "stand in a different place." I kept getting cornered, but I'm past all that now. It definitely starts out easy in comparison to mid-game. I'm still not done yet, but I'm playing a trio of FF titles all at once here, heh.

I'm not done yet, either. You'd think that a leveling system that levels you up at random wouldn't work quite right, but this one does somehow. The missions themselves can be quite hard if you not paying attention to everything, lol. (votes, "I have")

Aside from everything that may be wrong with the game (umm.... can't think of anything), Best PSP game I own and played.

Is zack the only person you play as?? i tired lookin for it on the net but didnt find nefin. but i did read the whole storyline on the wikipedia, so if i cnt do it i know wot ive missed out on lol

Yesterday I finished the game with 100% missions and DMW after 50 hours gameplay!
I finished it on normal and I don't know if I'm ready to do it again on hard.

This game is great and it is one of the best FF games released ever.
Great story line, lovely music, fantastic graphics "the best PSP graphics till now", challenging missions, addictive, really good looking characters and very entertaining gameplay.

This game made me think seriously about getting a PS3 if they made a new FFVII compliation with Genesis as an ending to thew stories of this game and to DC
