gotta catch 'em all!

This, if you haven't of already guessed, is a club devoted to Pokémon- something which is loved by many and hated by many (although I bet over half of the haters are closet fans!). This club is for fans only, and that counts for fans of the videogame, the anime, manga, trading card game and everything else with those cute little magical creatures on. The main activity of this club will be discussion, however Roleplay Battles, Roleplays and Contests will take place too. First thing is first and that is that this club will have a unique ranking system. Each new member will start off in this club as an ordinary Pokémon trainer, which type of Pokémon trainer you can choose, but for a quick run-down on the available trainers you can be:

Why is the club called the "TFF League"?
This is becuase, like the Pokémon leagues of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh, there will be eight Gym Leaders and an Elite Four, even a Champion if this club is a success. Each gym leader can name their gym and badge, and will be determined as suitable for the position by winning Roleplay Battles. With each club battle round won, said member gets a Battle Point (indicated by a star) which can earn them place as a gym leader if they wish. Once all 8 gyms are established, and a new challenger wants to move become a gym leader, that member must defeat the lowest-ranking gym leader in a roleplay battle (the gym leader can only be overthrown if the challenger gains a Battle Point higher than them. The only other ways a gym leader can be overthrown is by them resigning their position or if they are inactive for numerous months inwhich I will make the place vacant). May sound a little complicated, but it isn't! All RPBs will have a judge overlooking the battle and determining the winner. The judge will be myself or another club member of authority (Gym Leader, Elite 4).

As for myself, I have red, yellow, silver, ruby, emerald, leaf green, diamond, pearl, colosseum, puzzle challenge and mystery dungeon. I used to be an avid card collector back in my schoolkid days and had a large amount of toys too. Almost as bad as the infamous pokemon kid on youtube, though not quite! I used to watch the anime like religion too, lost interest during the Orange Islands, regained interest in Johto and have been watching on and off of Hoenn. I've seen some of the Diamond and Pearl series on youtube too.

I'm currently playing Pearl, in which I am moving my GBA pokemon into PalPark, exploring Stark Mountain to train my lv.60-65 team and catch Heatran. I also need to catch Cresselia. As my party pokemon show, I started with Turtwig since a Grass/Earth type sounded great, and since Torterra looks awesome (reminds me a little of adamantoise)... one thing I noticed though is its horrible speed... I've equipped it with quick claw to help it a little and when paired with Charizard it makes a great combination.

Also, for a few months i've been involved with a deviant art project called the Gijinka Pokedex, where members draw pokemon in humanoid forms. So far I have submitted Cacnea, Groudon and a (slightly disproportionate) Steelix. I have a Victreebell and Toxicroak also awaiting submission. I'm thinking that if some artistic members join we can have a gijinka art competition, which would be quite interesting seeing what comes out of it.

Pokemon Blue was the very first game I actually wanted to buy, the rest of my games and systems were all hand me downs. And so far I've bought one in each series of the game, and have been given or obtained most of the others quite cheaply, 5p each in the case of Leaf Green, Ruby and Emerald.

It's slowness didn't really bother me whilst playing the game, as I tend to end up quite a few levels higher than the oppposition so my speed is usually greater or equal at the least. But I too did equip the quick claw, and have only just taken it off now as I'm going to give the battle tower a try. Gotta change the moves of my old team though, to cater for the new physical/special system. Also going to change Torterra's moveset to more sefensive, maybe give it back leech seed.

Yeah, I'd definately give it a shot, I don't promise a good shot though.
Also this club has more potential than most for interactivity. There's already two RPs either going or being set up revolving around pokemon, RPBs, wifi, and little competions like you said.

The main reason is that though I do have a lot of Dragons, between them they cover any weaknesses. Such as having effective attacks vs. Ice pokemon.

Yeah, I was fine its speed by being a few levels ahead, but I find it a little slow during the battle tower when all levels are reverted to 50. Once I get through this cave I'm going to give my team some fresh moves since i've been using these guys to explore too... giving them some naff moves such as rock smash (I've only found that useful against normal types and occasionally rock >.<)

Haha yeah thats what I had in mind. Clubs are better when theres a lot of interaction between members... and who knows there may be some surprising picassos here! I'm currently thinking of other forms of interaction: a literature contest is possible, and an RPB contest would be very likely to go down well. The current popularity of Sneaky On Foota's RP inspired me to start this club, which is something I was considering to do when Testbug's died. I'm going to try extra-hard to tie this together!

Anyway, as for club banners i've had numerous ideas. The first is a trainer card set-up, which can be done on several sites and would give members a chance to make their own. This was done in about 2 minutes on this site, and theres plenty more if you search google for "trainer card generator." Another idea was in a trading card set-up, either in that of a pokemon card or a trainer card... for example heres a half-finished trial image of something i'm doing to send into a music magazine for a laugh (the final will be in the right font, have energy, HP, damage no. etc). The final idea is to have a banner with a trainer image and pokemon sprites. Any suggestions?

Back in the day, (Fall of '98) when I was in 8th grade, Pokemon the cartoon started coming on. The first episode I ever saw was the first one with Brock, on a day that I pretended to be sick on so I could stay home. La la la... memories. Anyhoo, I watched the show, taped the entire first season of it over various old tapes, including my old Sonic the Hedgehog tape () and then, around December, I finally actually got the game. And played it, and played it, and played it. I got Red first and then Blue, plus a new gameboy pocket, and totally got all 150 pokemon. Then, I wanted more. I got yellow, which was not the new game I was craving, but it tided me over until the next year when I gt Gold. After GS, however, I stopped getting the new games, because I couldn't afford the new systems they were on (although I probably could now...) Off and on, I've watched the cartoon show, although not as religiously as in the old days. Pokemon, however, remains as something dear to my heart. Yiy! Anyhoo...

Fushia actually, with the safari zone. Amazing place, all the 'mons you can catch for 500 pokedollars. Less the the price of one great ball. If it was real that place would have gone out of business in minutes.

That was the first ep. I ever watched aswell, it's like the fith one in the series and was the first time I'd ever seen the series.
