I have beaten this game so many times that I'm always looking for a new challenge. I guess the hardest way to beat this game would be with 4 black wizards or 4 white wizards.

I've played through the game up until the final boss, who I couldn't beat with my first party, which was:
Warrior Thief Monk Red Mage I've started to play through it again with a party consisting of: Warrior Thief White Mage Black Mage

Normally for my team I have a Warrior, Monk, White Mage, and Black Mage. I think that this is a pretty balanced party and makes the game easier. I've also played using a Warrior, Thief, Monk, and Red Mage.

Am I the only one that wants a challenge when playing Final Fantasy 1? How come nobody wants to beat this game with a party consisting of 4 characters of the same class? Especially if they are mages.

I used a warrior/knight, thief/ninja, white mage/white wizard, and a black mage/black wizard.
I also did a warrior, thief, monk, and a red mage.

Nine out of ten times, I use the 8 Bit Theatre setup of Black Mage, Fighter, Thief, and Red Mage.
Every once in a while, I'll use four Red Mages.

I used to do the default lineup back in my childhood, but after talking it over with a friend, I have decided that White Mages are largely useless... healing items and raw strength are they way to go... save money from the expensive magic too, so this is the party I am using now
Warrior Warrior Theif Black Mage Its pretty strong... 4 Warriors is a good nice way to just own the competition, but this lineup gives you some good magic nukage, and also 3 rather decent hitters... come mid to late game Warriors kill everything basic in one hit anyways

First I did the default party which was pretty easy.Now I"m doing another game with a warrior, red mage, black mage, and white mage.I'm up to the final boss.
