Spyware/Viruses

After many complaints and user problems, I finally removed the bottom advertisement on the TFF forums.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience that it has caused; or for any spyware/viruses that a few of you have received. I don't know exactly what the problem was, but I have every reason to believe it was from the bottom advertiser AdteGrity. It could be another source, so please advise if any of you continue to have problems and I will investigate further.

Thanks admin but I am a member in this forum for a year and I did not receive any kind of viruses or spywares.

I am using Norton AntiVirus 2007 and Spyware Doctor 5.0 ( Always Up-to-dates )
and they did not warn me about anything harm has came from here...

Haha. It's cause you're using FireFox. You can't see the ads, therefore you don't get viruses.

i don't get them either, but others have. =P

I guess you are right, I am using FireFox before I was even a member in this forum but thats technically makes no sense, what you can see in IE you must can see it in FireFox

Anyway, They better switch to FireFox....

Well, thing is, FireFox has an adblocker extension, which is what I'm using. Which is why I don't see the ads. =P

So yea.. they should switch. >.>; I don't know why people still use trash that is IE.

..but this topic should be closed or something. It's an announcement, not an IE vs FireFox thread. ^^;

Ah, I thank you for looking into that matter.
The problems I was having are cleared up now.

And I still use IE because I am uncomfortable with change.

Its good that people a select few are moving to Firefox, but you must remember IE is built in for most people and they have no idea FF even exist, a large proportion of people who come on don't know jack about shit like this.

I've never had problems with pop ups or spyware from this particular site but I did get pop ups, how did I know? They popped up via IE whilst I was using FF (Those bloody porn sites )
