FFT- War of the Lions Stuff (Import Impressions, US Version Details)

Just a few details I was able to scrounge from importers

-The "Reverb" effect for both the music and the sound effects are gone
-There's a slight lag in a lot of attacks, you can see for yourself in this video:

-Balthier joins in Chapter 4 and is essentially an Engineer+Thief. He has all of Mustadio's skills and all Thief skills plus he has a special X-Fight command where he attacks 4 times (doing half damage each attack)
-Luso from FFTA-2 joins in chapter 3 and is essentially a duplicate of Ramza with an Innate Poach ability
-The previous character limit of 16 is now expanded to 24
-Plenty of new story sequences and battles like a fight between Beowulf and a guy named Ares. Plus randomly in chapter 2 the game switches from Ramza to Delita and you can play as him with Ovelia as a guest.
-The game while not having an English option has a full ENglish manual with some pretty good looking art:

US Version stuff:
-It'll be released in October as FFT: War of the Lions
-Apparently the lag issues are going to be fixed
-They're going to do a DQVIII and add voiceovers to the cutscenes (there are no voiceovers in the Japanese version, and interestingly enough, actress Kari Wahlgren (voice of Ashe in FFXII) had a spot on her resume for "Final Fantasy Tactics" but it's been recently taken down.

Damn...October...that's, like, forever! What month are we in? May?
January, Februray, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October! About four to five months...

I know Balthier, but who the heck is Luso? Whatever, I'm not really interested in FFTA in the first place. Are all the original characters in it? I liked getting Byblos, it had some nifty abilities.

The origonal characters are most likely in it, maybe they'll give you Olan too, just for fun. Hey, the more, the marrier, the greater the slaughter, right.
Maybe some of them will rival Orlandu in power, but probably not...


Does anyone know anything about the Onion Knight class? I haven't heard anything regarding that new class, except that it'll be included in the game.
