Graphics?

I know the PS3 is supposed to have fantastic graphics.

I don't own one though. I can't afford it. I'm just looking at the pictures I found on the internet of Final Fantasy XIII.
But is the game play going to be like Final Fantasy XII?
What do you think? If there's already a thread like this sorry.

I watched a trailer of a fight in XIII here. From what I saw, yes, XIII's battle system will be very like XII's, but there will be differences.

As for the graphics, how good they will be will depend on whether you are playing on a HDTV or a regular TV. While I'm sure they'll have a setting for display on a regular TV, the HDTV setting will undoubtedly have much higher resolution, and therefore quality.

Not a whole lot is known about Final Fantasy XIII or it's storyline, however it has been said that FFXIII will maintain a non-random battle system much like XII.

I know the woman is the main character whose name is Lightning, and of course she has friends who join her.

FFXIII graphics will probably be outstanding. I've always been impressed with the graphics of most FF games and since this game is for the PS3 platform then I'm sure its going to be great visual wise.
As for control wise I'm not sure. Probably epic.

I am going to get this game. The graphics are going to be more then likely badass. But when you put it on "HDTV" then it is more then likely look the best. For I have played a game on PS3 on an HDTV and Reg TV.

really good detail work done in ff13 i also heard that its like

yea 13 looks like something really special. to me it looks like it might have a FF7 taste to it, if u know what i mean.
its eather going to be really good, or be one of the worst ones.
thats how i look at it.
its eather home run or foul ball for Square enix now a days.

Dengeki has interviewed Tetsuya Nomura on the future of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy XIII and he's revealed some more information on the development of the games.

Nomura says that with the help of the disc space on Blu-Ray and the Hard drive in each PS3, The evolution of Final Fantasy XII to XIII will be as big as the evolution of Final Fantasy VI to VII.
He also says that Final Fantasy XIII will probably be the first game to use the full specifications of the Playstation 3. Another interesting thing he mentioned was that the airship present in Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be able to take part in airborne assaults over the world map. Hopefully we'll see that in action soon. Finally, Dengeki also asked him once again whether the games will be Playstation 3 exclusives which he replied to with "Of course".

ok let me tell ya people, the game play is some what the same , but new, the grapichs, LOL the game is like ONE BIG CGI CUT SCEEN!!!!!!!!!!!! no joke, the fightigns new and awsom, and the graphics are not tp be messed with, if you have a PS3 the nget one ASAP, the ariship thing, that a rourmer, but i'v seen game play, it's in a fight mode when you do it, like "Ramdom" battle's kinda, relly coool, not to spoile but the story line is kinda like VII, but with more twist, and less suck, lol, jk, have fun playing it when, if, you get it

Dont worry about the price of the PS3, by the time this game comes out there will have been several price cuts, and it wil probably be dirt cheap by then As for the fight system, I think random battles are gone for good, but some of the ATB system will be sort of blended with it, if that makes sense.

THink FF X-2 but much more cinematic!
