Yea. Beat him in less than three minutes. Honestly, who would have thought a machine like Omega would be affected by Romeo's Ballad? Well, it worked and kept it immobilized. =D

And where do I get romeo's ballad?

You learn "Romeo's Ballad" aka "Love Song" from a bard hidden in the outskirts of Istory/Easterly village. You can't access it in the third world, but if you return to the first world, head into that town, then go to the sheep herds.

Walk behind a "quick" sheep that isn't moving, and you'll be on your way. A bard in there will teach you the song. And btw, he's sort of a cameo from another Final Fantasy.

Omega Weapon drops nothing but an item called "Omega Badge", which is proof to your friends you beat him. But Shinryu drops the Ragnarok, arguably one of the best knight swords in the game.

I haven't taken down Shinryu yet, because I'm too lazy to steal Dragon Lances. I have the strategy, and have experimented with what I had, and all seemed to work fine. One day, when I get enough Dragon Lances, he'll be my bitch. As for Omega, well, he was 50% easy and 50% dangerous.

Pray that he never casts "Encircle" on any of your characters, because it permanently removes him/her from the team until the fight ends. Surge Beam is another pain. That one is very lethal, and gets stronger every time your max HP raises. You can prevent him from countering by using !Sing's Love Song.

My technique for Omega was to have Wall Rings on all my Mimics with !Time (To use Quick), !Black (Bolt 3), and then !X-Magic. The way I did it was in conjuction like this:

Each character did this:
#1[!X-Magic] Quick+Bolt 3 on all my reflected characters to Omega.
#2[!X-Magic] Bolt 3+ Bolt 3 on all my reflected characters to Omega.
#3[!Mime] Does exactly what #2 did.
