For those of you who didn't already know:
SORA f Japanese Means "sky" in Japanese. and may I point out the fact that Sora is a female name, ala the "f" there. Just a little tidbit that I don't think a few people realize Gotten from : http://www.behindthename.com/nmc/jap.php

BUT A FEMALE NAME?? Well, just like al_bhed_chocobo said- that explains a lot about Sora........ Maybe that's why it seems like his head is always "in the clouds." He's so thick.......*sighs*

Wow. I knew that sora ment sky, but i didn't know it was a girls name. That's pretty scary. And rikku had a sex change from FFX and became riku, so everybody is gets to be a girl in this game!

Well, it is a (don't take this the wrong way) but a more female oriented RPG, but can be enjoyed by pretty much anyone. It really didn't surprise me that Sora was a female name really, I just thought it would be an interesting tidbit for those who didn't know.

I actually remember hearing that in Japanese "Rikku's" name is actually spelled (and pronounced) "Ryu-Ku" just like "Tidus" is apparently pronounced and spelled "Te-I-da" ("Teh-I-DUH") which means Square made a translation booboo it is closer and better to say "TIE-DUS" then Square's former official "TEE-DUS" (they fixed this in KHII when Selphie says "TIE-DUS"
Anyway, Riku's name is just as it sounds. It's actually spelled the same way you'd spell the name "Rick" (Ri-Ku) But Square probably though Rick was a boring name and kept it's official Japanese spelling to make it sound exotic. As I wrote this i verified with Wikipedia (however the prnounciation of Tidus is wrong, even though it's spelled in Japanese how I said above)
