Dawn Of Souls(FF1):NO DAMAGE LIMIT!!!

I couldn't belive it either but i think there is NO DAMAGE LIMIT!!! At first, I was seeing how long it would take for my knight to hit 9999 if i kept on buffing him up(ulitma weapon equippd)after like 13 tempers,15 speed drinks, 16 strength tonic, and like 6 saber castings, my knight did 10625 points of damage! Now my Q is can you only break the damage limit with the ultima weapon equippd, or can you do it with any weapon?

I think that there aren't anything that would prevent that happening. I got Master hit over 6000 using by casting Temper on him. And without any weapons. Have to test is it possible only with Ultima Weapon. But there's problem, which enemy has so much HP that it doesn't die before I get to hit that high.

Well, actually there is some sort of damage limit, I think. You can think that if you kill boss that has most energy with only one strike you can think that it is damage limit because you can't find out can it hit more because there isn't any other monsters/bosses that you could hit more and see what is max damage limit.

well you got a point there, but it is still cool knowing that i can hit over 9999 with my knight and monk. I guess the next time i fight Shinryu i will do that and see if i can kill him in one hit(lol)

i have noticed that you can only do it with knights and monks, i cant get my mages to do it, and they are max leveled to...

Well, reason for that is that Mages aren't actually made for that why that you could even make high damage with only hitting. With that way that I used to max my Master's power getting Mages hitting hard is possible but not useful.

I'm not sure is there some spell that would raise magic damage but if there is use it to your other Mage and try same thing. Cast it many times and see if some spell can do that high damage.

You could try to get RM and Thief that high. I'm pretty sure that they can also high as Monk and Knight. You just have to cast enought many times Temper and then Haste. I think you can get any character hit 9999 but that is behind hard work and casting...

hmm......this is a very interesting discovery. I myself have all my character up to their max level but have never broken the 9999 damage limit. I never thought of buffing them up with tonics and what not, nor had the patience of casting temper 100 times. But I dont see why a black wizard could not break the limit either. You can equip the ultima weapon to anyone and I'm sure if you cast temper a million times it could happen.

wow this is amazing. does any1 know if itll work for ff2 as well? this is probably one thing tht makes the gameboy version easier.

No you can't break the limit in FF2. Trust me I tried to do it. If it did work i would kill the final boss in one hit with the blood sword.

Dang!!! I tried it will my mages but i ran out of Speed tonic and stregth tonics. O well I guess i'll try again.

There probably is a damage limit. At like, 99999 HP damage. That would take hours, though.
