A.C. movie will maybe be a PS3 game.

I read on a Final Fantasy news site that they will maybe create the A.C. on the PS3, if that happens it will be the first game to be released after XIII and it will be released between 2009 - 2010.

...do you have the source of this information? Perhaps the website you got this supposed information from? Without a source, for all we know, you're making it up just to start the rumor mill. Until I see a source, I honestly think it's a load of bull.

Hmm... I suppose it would be possible for an Advent Children game to come out on the PS3, but I doubt they'll actually do it.

Regardless, I think a PS3 game that relates to FF7 is the logical conclusion to the 'FF7 Compilation'. Essentially, its not over until the fat lady sings, and so far all we've seen is a movie (which was big news but has since faded from the spotlight) a mobile phone game that the west can't even get ahold of (where FF7 was the most popular) a largely lack luster PS2 sequal, and a prequal for a hand held.

I think there will be an FF7 on PS3...if its based on the advent children movie or something entirely different, I see it happening.

The remaking of VII is highly unbelievaible, but a VII at all I think.. Make a continuation.

i can't see how they can do this for example:

1. AC is not long enough to warrent a game
2. Sephiroth was the last boss again (in film) and it would be dull to fight him as LAST boss
3. The start of the film shows us the state of the world years after AC so the ending is already predetermined

Hm, a sequel, or a during AC game would be difficult to make for the fact its all pretty tight nit, they did a really good job on it (the movie), and it (the movie) was pretty much finished, the last of the Jenova "children" were re-absorbed into the lifestream.. *sigh*... but I can see it happening, because I dont think Squenix is gonna let this cash cow rest, they are gonna run it til people are sick of it, and its pretty sad to see.

I personally hope to god they don't make another FF 7 game. If they did i would have to take a nod from Sepiroth and take my masasume and completely slay all the staff at squareenix, impaling it's president with my sword. Afterwards i would use their resources to make a game DESERVING of a sequel, hence Final Fantasy VI-2 would be born haha.

Why continue a series that has already been milked for all it's worth? Just because a game is popular doesn't mean it deserves a sequel. In making these games square has made me dislike the whole thing even more. Sure i'll admit AC was cool, but this whole thing should have been layed to rest a long time ago. Too many FF VII fanboys are making these terrible things happen.

And i think like Loco said..i don't think it's going to happen anywayz. I'm pretty sure all the original PS3 FF 7 remake rumors were put to rest, and this sounds like another bad rumor. I've read interviews with Nomura, he certainly doesn't have enough time to be making one. He has all three FF XIII titles on his plate, more kingdom hearts, and more XIII titles probably in the future. He's a busy man, he shouldn't waste his time on making a game that shouldn't be made in the first place

I agree here..knowing Square, hey you never know. If they ever need money they know they can make half ass sequels to FF 7 and people will love it. And yes, it is very sad to see.

While I do not think that Advent Children will be made into a game, I do think Square-Enix will eventually take one more run with the Final Fantasy VII series.

Crisis Core which is due out sometime in '07 is before Zack dies, therefore it's a prequel since it is also set on the timeline before DOC and BC. Crisis Core leads some to believe there was a larger power at work, even during the original Final Fantasy VII

Again, I believe it's enevitable. When will it happen? Probably no time soon since they are working on FFXIII, but whose to say Square-Enix hasn't been planning a surprise over the past couple of years with a team of employees working on a "FFVII-2" so to speak.

It would definitely wrap up the series, and I think the overall FF:VII fans would be satisfied if they produced the game well (possibly even bringing back the origianl VII staff).

Who is to know for sure. I'm not going to hold my breath, but if they can work some magic like they did in VII then I'd be willing to give it a try.

I was also somewhat confused after watching Advent Children recently. A part where Cloud is taken into that largely lit area, where whiteness covers him, and the voices noticably of Aeris and Zack are speaking. Aeris mentions "why does everyone keep calling me mother lately". Is this some kind of hint as to whom Aeris really is?

I don't thin they'll do that.If they did they'd have either to rewrite the AC story,or make the game shortlived so as to finish it in a couple of days.The main environement is the Midgar city & grounds,as well as The forgotten city.No other FF VII place.They didn't even show how Cloud went from Midgar to the Cetra city.Did he go there with the bike,underwater that is???
