Does Penelo remind you of Rikku?
For a while I've been thinking about FFXII a lot and all of a sudden it just hit me that Penelo reminds me like Rikku in a way for some reason. I know that Tara Strong is going to be Penelo's voice over in the English version but apart from that. I could just imagine her personality being somewhat like Rikku's. Well I want to know if does Penelo remind you of Rikku or not.

Well the ironic thing about Penelo is the English voice actress is the same voice actress who did Rikku so...yeah.

She does remind me of Rikku..a little bit. I'm not sure what her attitude/personality is going to be like, but on first glance she looks more..innocent looking than Rikku or something.
I'm not sure if its her hair or what, but something about her reminds me of Selphie as well.

i think its too ironic that rikku was a theif in FFX and FFX-2, but in FFXII penelo gets mad at vaan for stealing, and the two girls are played by the same people =)

Uh, you guys, the actress for Rikku is Tara Strong, while the actress for Penelo is Cat Taber.
As for the original question, actually, Penelo doesn't remind me of Rikku at all, not in looks, although her fighting stance is exactly the same Rikku has, but definetely not in personality; Penelo is much quieter and mature, not bubbly at all. Quote:

She reminded me a bit of Rikku in the first scene (I just got the game and only had 30 minutes to play before heading to work). However, at first glance she definitely seems more mature and responsible than Rikku. She's almost like a big sister figure for Vaan, which Rikku definitely was not.

Yeah, sort of. That's coz she is very childish, and she is a bit small. Umm, lemme tell ya, Penelo reminds me of the Rikku in FFX, not in X2. Well, coz Penelo's just so not Rikku in FFX2, not that daring. Shes very young I think, and I guess she does remind me a bit of her. But I havent considered the voice, coz I havent really heard her english voice yet.
