Anti Form: WHUT.

Basically, I'm just really curious about Sora's (incredibly annoying when he activates it instead during the final battle, AGH) Anti Drive Form. It goes without any explanation within the game, so here's what I'm wondering: Has anyone read/seen any official explanations whatsoever, of what Anti Sora means? It obviously wasn't there in-game, but maybe from interviews, or even from info on Final Mix?

Alternatively, please present any theories of your own... All I can think of is that it might have something to do with his temporarily becoming a Heartless in KH1; then again, that's already

Spoiler: been used as an explanation for the special existence of Namine AND Roxas. "Roxas is SPESHUL cos Sora stopped being a Heartless! And Namine is SPESHUL TOO for being born from Sora and Kairi, like some existential, PG-rated baby!"

I doubt the same explanation would be used for this, or it's just clunky layering, saying the one event triggered ALL of these plot points.

I agree with you that anti-form is the most annoying form you'll ever get.
But we won't get it by random.The rate of changing anti-form depends on the dark points that isn't visible to us.

Anywho,Yes I think it has to do something with him becoming a heartless.
Anti - Form is only a heartless version of Sora.
Maybe because of him have such a strong heart,his heartless is stronger than any shadow.

Spoiler: Well,we all know that he became a heartless in KH 1 and nobodies are only created with those who have strong hearts.Since Sora has a strong heart,that what made Roxas. Sora changing into a heartless again maybe an idea for Square-Enix.So,maybe this is one way to do that again.So it will connect with the event of Sora became a heartless.After playing KH 2 many times,I felt there was something to do with the event.

But I have another opinion.Maybe it was just a way that Square-Enix gave us to have more fun and challenge.For letting it being just a normal form like others but with it's own side effects.

Well Sora doesnt truly become a heartless when he goes into anti-form. His forms are a power that his new clothes give him. I think the anti-form is just when the clothes like...make a mistake and tap into the darkness in his heart, drawing out a controlable dark side to him. Sora has control over that heartless like form. If Sora truly became a heartless during his anti-form then he would have a really hard time coming out of it AND he would make a nobody with every transformation (OMG ROXAS ARMY! RUN AWAY)

Anyways...the anti-form is pretty good during normal battles. During MOST boss battles it is jut a huge pain though.

Sora's Anti-form is technically from him being a heartless in kh1. The creators of the game decided to add it in the game because.....umm.....well....I don't really know. Though, it's pretty cool...right?

anti-form is just like final-form cept it has heartless moves and powers...Anti is one of the best cause he does all those tight moves but he loses so much health... (kicked Xaldin's ass with anti-form )

In Anti-Form you cannot heal or pick up healing orbs.

In Anti-Form your strength dramatically decreeses but your speed increases and the speed at which you do damage increases so much that its hard to noticer the difference.

Anti-Form is the only form you cannot volintarily leave.

Anti-Form becomes less likely once you attain Final Form (the form in which Sora and Roxas are one) but it is still possile if you do not use Final form and instead use one of the other Forms.

Anti-Form is a Heartless form, it is the reminant of Sora's darkness and the proof of his incompletetion. While Heartless are the raw emotions that we'd associate with the heart, Nobodies are whats left...the body and the spirit, without hearts (but perhaps not without emotions...perhaps only able to feel 'extreme' emotion, without modulation)

I happen to like Anti-Form. I think its the best form before Final.

Dont forget that Anti-form can jump extremely far. Its pretty good if your in a tight spot that anti-form cant handle, because then you can just jump around until you go back to normal.

I love Anti-form! Probably my faves after Wisdom! The speed of it is awesome and i never really noticed the decrease in strentgh. The only thing that annoys me about is the fact you cant use reaction commands!

It depends. In most fights, it is really effective. In boss battles, prepare to die. The first time I tried to use a form during a boss (in fact, the first time I went Anti), it screwed me up bad.
