Story told by T.G. Oskar, Paladin/Captain of Seekers of Illumination and Director of Knowledge

"In ages forgotten to time, the war between Light and Darkness waged in the fields of The Final Fantasy, a plane beyond our Universe. The side of darkness, the feared Brotherhood of Doom, was at first unchallenged, threatening to hold all of TFF, and the universe itself, under the grasp of darkness. Then, as a response to the ever-growing darkness, a brief glimpse of light was formed: the Bringers of Light. The warring factions immediatedly waged war, but the war ended swiftly. The Bringers of Light were separated by religious differences, and the division beneath the ranks shed the light away. The BoD claimed the victory for their own, facing a weakened BoL army, while the strongest in the ranks claimed allegiance to a new faction, the Soldiers of the Moderate: a faction for those not attracted by the division of the light, or the excess of the darkness. And, the small glimpse of light faded away, until the day of August 8th, 2005...

A former BoD member, lady Blackrose, separated from the ranks of darkness and revived the small light fading away from TFF. The small call was originally a call of defiance, of anger for not being 'like them'. If at all, it was almost like a joke... But the Light works in ways human reasoning cannot comprehend. The small call was answered by brave warriors of the Light: the swordmaster Suzu Kitamura, and the fallen angel in search of redemption Kaitou, and together founded the new Light Faction, the God's Sanctuary. The BoD instantly defied the new Light, and hesitantly recognized their position as a club, despite the words of arrogance towards it.

During the next days, the call was answered by many other people, eager to work towards the light: Pastor Zeddicus, the Paladin -to- be T.G. Oskar, the good-natured Spaz, between others. Battles have been fought, members have joined and gone, and time has passed away. And in this precinct of light, knowledge was preached and sought above all.

In lieu of this knowledge, the members of the God's Sanctuary realized that Light was comprised of many pathways, and not only the pathway presented by Christianity. The members had forged tolerance towards these brothers in Light, people who lived righteous lives despite their religious differences, which sometimes escalated in wars. The very same factions of Darkness were tied by the concept of a single evil, spread between many visions. It was time, thus, for the Light to realize good came in a variety of visions, even though these visions by themselves were not always in accordance with each other.

And thus, a year after the foundation of the God's Sanctuary, the members decided to embrace all those brothers, willing to tolerate their differences, in search of greater knowledge. Long has passed since Lady Blackrose stepped away from leadership, granting the right to Lord Kitamura. The original vision has changed, and the goals and objectives are no longer the same. Yet, the desire to keep the Light alive has not diminished, but rather enhanced.

Now, the calling resounds louder than ever: the Darkness, and Evil are threatening to consume the Universe whole. Now, more than ever, we search for people who share the ideals of good, no matter which vision it may follow. Beyond the impending war against the darkness, we search for people that are willing to tolerate differences, while striving to achieve a common good. We do not search for exemplars of good, but for those who are willing to be better people. We do not search for the wise and intelligent, but for those who are willing to share knowledge and learn from it.

Hi, my name is Suzu Kitamura pleasure to meet you! I am the Director of the Ministry of Information and Arts and or Vice captain, my job is to manage this board, formally named Seeker's Bulletin, and to help around the Captain, T.G Oskar! Although it may seem hardwork, it really isn't! It's all thanks to the members who are currently active or used to be active to make this club what it is today. We have faithful contributors who are very creative, knowledgable, and devoting. If you need help with anything please contact one of us.

Now to get down to buisness, this section is where the club's goals, objectives, registration, history, and more are located. Before you register to the club, please read everything below concerning rules and goals. It is important that you are familiar with this because it would help keep this thread as a safe community. So when you are done please register(or not) and have a nice day!!

Goals:

The club's goal is to learn from other people's religions so we will better understand their views and beliefs. We would want to promote a community where everyone is comfortable to make new friends despite what he/she believes in. To promote the club and still keep it running is to involve everyone in group activities and individual jobs. This way we will be able to work together.

There may be views that we may not agree on, but we would want to explain our disagreements so that we will refrain from mindless arguements. Simply, help each other to get a chance to know the person instead of judging
them too quickly.

In order to register for the club please answer the following questions:

>> Do you have a religion or belief that you practice? If so would you mind giving us a little information about it?

Remember that this is your opinion, if you do not want to join the club we understand fully. There is no way that the questions can keep you from joining, this is simply the first step of the registration and is a way to get us to know you. The second step is when one of the members check the posts you have made to see your behavior around TFF. If you do not like this, please PM one of us and we will skip the second step.

1. Please be respectful to everyone in the club

3. Do not post in the club unless your are a member or an honored guest.
4. Racist remarks or actions is not allowed, if any are found you are banned permanently and possibly banned from TFF. Admins and Mods may take action.

I guess it is what I get for being a lazy bum. I hope to find out how all of you guys are doing. Now to atone for my absence how much punishment will you place upon me? O.o;

T.G.O has finally posted! Yes! Alrighty, well, I've fixed the Seeker's Bulletin a bit and moved inactive members and placed them into a new section, updated the jobs, and a few other stuff. I'm still having trouble in fixing the questions, but I will do my best.

So, with this move, we are now ushering in a new era in our club.

Though I think I should have toned down a bit in the intro post. Guess I overdid it... All for the better, I expect.

Now, I really want to see the banner of the club...much have I expected for a refreshing change in my avatar and sig.

I hope that the club reaches all those who follow the precepts of good, and are willing to open their minds. May we get more and more members and last very long!!! (knocks on wooden table--lucky charm)

Now, I shall change my sig in accordance of the happy occasion!!!

P.S.: WOW, I seem to be in charge of all activities now. Well, I guess that's not something hard to do. Now, if you'll excuse me, I shall check on what the others are doing.

Alright I will do that, but it seems that T.G.O is in charge of all the jobs. I do not want to work him to much, but he says he can handle it. I will think of new club jobs until I can find a suitable one for you, Kaitou. If you do not mind.

I got many art projects to finish by friday. Two manga pages and the club signature. I may be quite busy this week, so I may only have a few minutes online.

Well done. With all of the rubbish out of the way, it looks like a Pagan like myself can finally read through the posts without getting offended and fustrated. I myself would like to be added as a guest. This time with your words, you make ME respect you instead of making me sick. I am very very much a supporter of the first amendment and I respect what you are doing now.

Not all of us can embrace the dark excesses of the BOD as your Historian put it. (..and well put it is indeed.)

Stem cell research has so many possibilities. What better use for the children we throw away that will never live than to grant others the gift of life a bit longer and better health? There are also scientests who have discovered adults have those same cells, just not so many of them. It can only benefit in the end. Less organ rejection nightmares. The Waiting list short or non-existant. The things we could do if such research was to be carried out nationwide.

Look at it this way: If Divinity exists and designed us, why would they give us curiousity and freewill if not to better our lives?

@Yomi/Anthiena: Well, ever since half a year ago, we were willing to hear the opinions of the rest of the people. We can't do much to prevent people being offended: someone will eventually be offended by something we or someone else says, no matter how much we (or that person) try to minimize the impact. But, despite how offensive it might have been, even as part of the GS we would have allowed such opinion. Just be wary: eventually someone might offend you with his or her statement (you'll not agree always with what everyone says: that's what discussions are for, to hear all opinions on a particular matter). We'll at least try to not offend you because you are from another religion, or because you have beliefs that are not Christian. Do remind yourself, though, that being part of the BoD means you and we still have a feud between each other.

I do believe not even you guys can reach such a level of excess, but of course, you try very hard to...

One final note: humans are curious and free-willed so they can learn from their experiences. Improving quality of life stems from such knowledge, but not necessarily will lead towards improvement.

@discussion: I heard before that stem cells may exist in adult people: in that case, there's still a chance for stem cell research to develop, just as long as the extraction process is as less painful as it can. I do not approve of abortion, as you may expect, so I'd disapprove of stem cell extraction from said sources. Stillborn children, though...that's a tad difficult one. It all depends in whether you dislike desecrating the dead or if you approve of organ donations. If you are against desecration, even organ donations go against your belief, and also exhumation of bodies and the coroner's actions. If you approve of organ donations, well, such stem cells would be considered "cell donations", but the family would have to approve of them. As long as the cells do not come from artificially aborted fetuses, or from clonation processes, it seems like a nice idea. A rather morbid, but sound idea.

I also tend to be conservative on the area of genetics, perhaps a bit paranoid, because I can't help but think what would humanity would do to genetically altered people, and what would be the results.

@Club: While discussions are the bread and butter of the club, I do believe that we should move discussions away from here, and into a more fitting place. I know how people here despise Intelligent Discussion, but I assume that if we sponsor the discussion ourselves, and regulate the discussion so that offenses are swiftly dealt with, the quality of the discussion will be improved. Most people do not enter ID because they'll feel easily offended, and we are essentially allowing open discussion. That way, people that are non-club members would not have to skim through pages and pages of club actions before going into discussion itself. What do you think? I'd like to listen the opinions of non-club members also, since that will affect them as well. Once we discuss this, I'll talk to the ID mods and ask them to make a sub-forum for our sponsored discussions (or Suzu, whoever is the fittest).

I highly doubt I'll be making a subforum specifically for your discussions. It's not that I mind doing so; rather, by doing it for you, I am then expected to do it for every single other club that asks for their own subforum for discussions. As an administrator, I cannot pick and choose which clubs get special treatment and which do not. That has absolutely nothing to do with the "factions," that's just a general rule that I laid down for myself long ago.

I see no reason why you cannot maintain any major discussions in the Intellectual Discussion forum itself. Take a page from the Brotherhood's book if you wish to do so. In the thread title, say "The Seekers of Illumination present: TOPIC" or something to that extent.

For other, less intense discussions, have them here in the club's thread.

That's just my opinion, but I can assure you right now that a subforum for your own club's discussions won't happen. Sorry to rain on your parade. =/
