This game had the best music

Sorry to say it guys, but for its time, this game had the best music in final fantasy. Sorry 6 and 8(Which were a close 2nd in my opinion).

I do not think Final Fantasy IV has the best music, but I have been most familiar with the soundtrack. I think Final Fantasy VI has better music than that.

Strong words....and i support that partially. I think that it is the best FF however the best soundtrack is FFX undisputebly IMO.

I really liked the overworld theme...it sorta motivates you

I really don't think this game has the best music, but I really liked it though. And I agree with Dragoon Nick. I think FFX had the best music out of all the FF games.

My opinion is that FF3/6 had the best music. Locke's theme standing out the most. Of course Shadow's theme, Cyan's theme, and the Veldt song stand out as well. There's just a lot of really good music in there

That theme mentioned about FFX is the ONLY music I remember in it.

FF2/4 had good music, but I think it's the dramatic music changes in game as well as Golbez's music that really stands out.

The best music in any game I've ever played though was Chrono Trigger hands down. FF3/6 would get a 2nd place, then FF2/4 -- and if I was to go further than that, Secret of Mana.

Oh, and the reason I said IV is because EVERY piece of music fitted and added a effect to when ever it was used.

Final Fantasy X had terrible music -_- Uematsu (sp?) Did like nothing wasn't it? The only decent track in that game was the Rammstein track

The FFIV soundtrack was actually quite good, BUT, there are several other titles that blow it out of the water. Best example of that would probably be FFVII with FFXI falling in close behind it.. Got a snidge to move this into General FF but eh, based on FFIV.

i really liked the ff 4 soundtrack, i just thought that it was too limited and that there maybe should have been more songs added into it. personally my favorate soundtrack was X, the music was flowing and emotional, just the way i like it

FFIV is one of my fav. FF's but it's not the best one. The storyline is too short for one. Also, it gets all of it's classes from FFIII anyway. ALTHOUGH many of it's (how I say) defaults, the soundtrack is magnificent! My favorite is Illusionary World. That song always makes me calm or go to sleep everytime I hear it.

You are far mistakened. FFVII sold the most out of all of the FF series upon first arrival. FFIV is awesome but compared to FFVII, 7 is in a whole different league. The DS version might make me like it better though.
