Um where are my fmv scenes???

I'm halfway through the game. I'm a little into the World of Ruin, and I still haven't seen any FMV scenes during the game. The only time I've seen anything is during the beginning before you even get to start the game. I've seen absolutely NONE DURING the game. WTF is going on. I thought they were supposed to be IN the game. Someone explain this to me please.

Dude, this game has been originally released for the snes. You can't expect movie sequences in the game just because its on playstation, its a classic game. final fantasy 7 and up had all the in-game fmvs.

Please just enjoy the game as it is.

For the PS1 version there's the intro FMV and then you unlock the ending FMV upon completing the game. That's it (there's a "bonus" FMV also which is pretty much the ending done to the real performed opera).

FFIV, V, and VI for the PS1 did this, Chrono Trigger however actually inserts FMVs into the game.

And yeah, FFVI predates FMVs, you'll just have to deal with it and enjoy the gameplay.

Ok thanks. I don't really care that much about the FMV scenes, it's just I read on the back of my Playstation version of the game that there were FMV scenes and all I'd seen was the intro one. I didn't know if I was missing out on something or what lol. Thanks for clearing that up.

One question. The intro shows Terra with that crown on her head that's controlling her. But she has blonde hair, instead of green. When you play as her in the game she has green hair. Why's that?

That's just something with Amano's designs and the way he draws. When Square designs the characters they'll usually give the characters he designed a more "Anime-ish" color scheme since Amano usually draws characters with white/blonde hair hair. Probably to make the games look more "colorful". You rarely see him doing Black hair on characters

His illustrations for FFVII for example have Tifa with white hair. His design of Faris in FFV has blondish/brown hair, but her ingame sprite has Purple hair. And so on.

And sure thing, I had to admit your first post made me think you were "stepping down" from FFX and going "Wah Wahhh why aren't there FMVs ever few minutes?"

Ok so Terra is actually the one in the scenes with blonde hair? Cool, that was confusing me. lol

Yeah I could really care less about the scenes I just thought maybe I had to unlock them or something lol. Thanks dude.

Yep. It is Terra at FMV scenes. First time when I watched that opening FMV, I didn't know who it was. I just watched it because I always do it. But yep, I didn't even thinked that would be Terra at first time. Later in the game I started thinking that it would be Celes because she is other main character on the game.

But thrid time I understanded that it was Terra because of that Magitech armor. But yep, it is Terra. Not Celes...
