Silent Hill Music

Well, I wasn't sure if this belonged in "General Gaming" or "Music", but I decided on here... please correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, to the point: "What is your favorite Silent Hill Soundtrack and/or Song?"

For me:

Soundtrack: Silent Hill 3
Song: "Lost Carol" from SH3

This thread exists in Gaming Media (where it belongs, but there's already a thread there on Silent Hill music, which lacked in activity... ._.;.)

My favourite song? Goodness, there's too many to pick.

Personally, I like Promise (Reprise); because of it's beautiful piano melody.
Tears Of Time, because of the melody which somewhat seemed to "switch back" between guitar and piano.
And the Theme for SH4. The lyrics are very deep and a little upsetting.
I like Letter From The Lost days as well, although it's almost impossible to say my favourite song because I really admire every piece of work by Akira Yamaoka.

Eh... I'm really sorry about the mix up and that I redid an existing thread... And I guess there aren't enough Silent Hill lovers here to keep a thread like this going, which makes sense, since it is an FF Forum... *hits self on head*

I know my first two posts ever are in Silent Hill topics but I do love Final Fantasy as well.

Anyways, my favorite soundtrack if I had to pick one I don't think I could but I guess the one with the highest percentage of stuff I wouldn't skip through would have to be the one for SH4. Still though some of my favorite songs are on the other soundtracks.

For favorite I'm going to have to pick a list of ...10! that are all tied for first.
1. ... and the Angels Weep (SH3)
(5:31)it's the end result screen. It's so beautiful. Listening to it sounds like you're trying to climb out of a hole.
2. Heaven's Night (SH2)
(2:04) I assume this plays in the Heaven's Night club but oh well. I love the movement in this song. it's like gathering rope, just to give it up. I don't know how else to describe it. There's a lot of movement, but you're not really going anywhere.
3. Love Psalm (SH2)
(4:26) I think it plays during one of the endings. It brings you slowly rhythmically up and then down and up again
4. Tears of... (SH1)
(3:16) I think this also plays during one of the endings. It's a beautiful song really and sad sounding.
5. Killing Time (SH1)
(2:54) it might play during an ending. It's a really cool old sounding song.
6. not tommorrow 1 (SH1)
(0:48)I have an extended version that's about 30 seconds longer. This is a song that plays after an emotional scene.
7. Theme of Laura (SH2)
(3:24) The theme song for SH2. I don't know why it's named after Laura, but oh well.
8. Promise (SH2)
(4:40) Another cool guitar song.
9. Breeze in monochrome night (SH3)
(4:14) from 0:00 to 0:50 it's just this weird ambience then at 0:51 it starts of slow but steady till 2:27 when another element is added. picking up the action but keeping the steady backbeat. then it slows back down at 3:23. It's got some simple piano drums and what seems to be a stringed instrument, but the way they're layered and kept repeating and advancing is amazing.
10. Your Rain (SH4)
(4:42) of all the vocal tracks this is my favorite. of course i love the others. I just love the rhythm of this one.

Breeze in Monochrome night is amazing, yeah. The piano bit is really awesome.

Also, who liked Silent Circus? It's the theme in SH4: The Room when you meet Cynthia for the first time... I didn't like her character but the music was awesome.

sorry i dont kno wthe names of the songs in silent hilll but if i was to choose one i would have to say the piano melody in the silent hill4: the room ( directors cut) when you first start is pretty kool

diabolos, that song is called "Melancholy Requiem"... it plays through the menu at the beginning of Silent Hill 4: The Room, and is played again when Henry wakes up for the first time, I believe.

Mine would be SH4:Room of Angel
I havent played SH4 yet but the moment I heard it in a trailer I was so in love with it! I had to get it!
I think that if we were speaking of the whole series of the game then all music made by Akira Yamaoka is awesome and has soul. I also like the whole SH2 music because it has a mix of romance sadnes and hope in it!

Yes, Room Of Angel is spectacular. If you like that, you might like Tender Sugar. It's more of a rough song than Room Of Angel, but both are simply amazing.

I LOVE Room of Angel!!! But lately my theme song (other than Dir en Grey's "The Final", of course...) is the Music Box melody from SH2... which I just recently purchased... Yay, well paying job!!

Actualy the first SH4 song I obtained was Tender Sugar. But I listened to it so much that eventualy I got tired of it. Stil like it though.

I like Your Rain from Silent Hill 4 and, i bet its not the real name but, Lullaby to Close your Eyes from silent hill 4.
