Final Fantasy XI: Treasures of Aht Urhgan, worth it?

Im thinking of buying Final Fantasy XI: Treasures of Aht Urhgan but I think I'd get other peoples opinions about the game first.
If you have it, how is it? Is it any diffrent to the other final fantasy games? Is anyone else wanting to buy it too?

Im thinking it will be a good purchase but I want others opinons before I buy.

...well, it's an expansion for Final Fantasy XI Online.

If you don't have the original FFXI, then you can't play the expansion. I'd advise going out and getting the Vana'Diel Collection (FFXI, Rise of the Zilart, and Chains of Promathia). It's the game and the first two expansions, and most places have it for $20 now. Get that first, and then invest in the newest expansion (Treasures of Aht Urhgan) once you have played the game for a while.

The TAU expansion is aimed toward higher-level players, so there's no point in getting it right away, especially if you find out you don't like FFXI to begin with.

First, I must ask, do you have FFXI? If you do not have it, then there is no further questions. If you do have it, then I will say definitely Treasures of Aht Urhgan is worth buying. I'm surprised you do not know about the content. It has three new jobs, Corsair, Puppetmaster and Blue Mage, the ever popular Blue Mage. That alone is enough to make it worth buying. Plus a whole new continent and map to explore, meant for high level players. Beseiged, is the peak of insane on mass killing, but fun to play.

It is definitely worth buying, if for nothing else but for the new jobs.

Remember this is an expansion pack.

I just started playing FFXI. I got the Vana'Diel collection for 20 bucks, and I plan on playing that for a while until ToUA goes down to at least 20 bucks. Then I'll get the expansion once I'm actually high enough to play the new jobs, which might take a while considering I'm playing 2 different characters.

Once you get to level 55, the expansion is quite nice. It opens new areas where you can gain experience quickly if you have a good party setup...

Yeah, if you're not 55+ then the expansion ain't something you definately have to get. After that it rocks though, damn I love that place so much for merit parties..hehe.
Haven't even unlocked the 3 new jobs yet, but still it's worth buying.
But buy FFXI first if you didnt >_<
