Final Fantasy XIII Discussion

A thread to discus the next final fantasy. First I'll put up a picture for discussion. This is from the Agito version which is to come out on mobile phones.

Not much is know about it but this pic should get final fantasy and kingdom hearts veterans interrested. Look closly at who everyone in the pic looks like and even they're weapons.

I don't know much about the actual PS3 version yet but feel free to discuss it anyways from what you've heard about it. I shall be looking around for more information to post soon.

the phone ones are more popular in japan though. i dont think i'd actually ever buy a game for my cell phone. so whats the point of making for different types of FF13's? Doesn't it look like Agito would take place in like... a school type of thing. These people look like they're wearing school uniforms.

Yes, they are suposed to be students. The game is set in a magic school named Akademia though probably subject to name change.

Look at the characters and they're weapons closely though. Looks familiar?

*nod* yeah, the KH crew are working on Agito. Thats why you're not going ot be seeing a KHIII for some time. The moogles look KH, and I admit there are some Organization references in the scythe, card, and spear weilder, but there was only one organization member that used a gun and I see two in there that are using them. Further, there was only one female organization member...my counts at least four with this group.

Whip-Swordsman looks cool though...haven't seen anyone that used that kind of weapon in a good long time. And is that a 'Turks' reference with that one girl using what appears to be a rod as her weapon? Looks a bit like the Shuriken user from Before Crisis. all in all it looks like it may be a game very similar to Before Crisis, in fact.

*EDIT

Scratch that, six females. Didn't notice the one in the middle, and the whip-swordsman is a swords-woman. Still, pretty badass.

They aren't all KH referances though.

I edited in the current staff for the project. And this is who I see referenced in the picture:
Squall
Aeris
Xenmas
the scythe
the gun on the right halfway down looks a bit like Irvine's from FFVIII
the staff behind the aeris girl looks a bit like Yuna's {not reno's}

you say so, though on closer inspection, if anything, it resembles a cross between Reno's staff and possibley the Mace of Zeus...everythings kind of jummbled there.

Now...where are Squall and Xemnas?

I think the guy on top looks like Xemnas and the guy below him on the left Squall {notibly the scar}. I didn't notice any of this until I first saw the scar, then I looked more and noticed all these resemblances.

Some of the others look familiar too, but I can't put my finger on it.
