Perhaps I shouldn't be here, but nevertheless I am.

Why shouldn't I be here? I'm not exactly a fan of the Final Fantasy series. I've played all of them, minus III, but never too far in except for Final Fantasy, which I finished on the PSX, and X, although I stopped at the part when the Al Bheds attack with the rune machine thing to save Rikku. I didn't even get past the first disc on VII, even though I own it. I'm currently starting Final Fantasy VIII and I'm only at the beginning, but I enjoy it. I'm hoping to become more of a fan and hope you will help me.

However, I am not foreign to RPGs. I've been a fan of RPGs forever. My favorite series' are Wild ARMs, Star Ocean, Chrono, Grandia, Legaia, and much more. I only hope to add Final Fantasy to this collection. I obviously am interested and know that it is a great series. I hope to get to know all of you.

I'm an RPG junkie myself, so I know what you're talking about. There's more to gaming that just Final Fantasy. My favorite RPG of all-time is Tales of Symphonia (absolutely brilliant game), with FFVI and FFTactics close behind.

Welcome to the forums, and as Boco mentioned, give the rules a once-over. It's more or less common sense, but it never hurts to brush up, right?

Ah, forgot to add that one. Yes, Tales of the Abyss is my favorite. If you're not a Japanese reader you'll like it when it releases in NA. Heh. It's better than Symphonia.
