i can think of dome resons to why this game is better than final fantasy 10

1) the summons look amazing breath taking
2) the gambit system sounds good
3) no random encounters yes i hate random battles

if anyone can think of some more you are more than wecome to put more down or you could agree to if this game is better than final fantasy 10

Ahh, but will the story and characters be as good?

Ten had a strong point with it's great characters and great story. Also, will there be many side quests? Gotta have my side quests!

The story for X sucked anyway... to me atleast. XII is going to be something completely different. One can only describe that which was utilized through the demo. Only 'till the actual release date of some day I can't remember in October of this year, will you get to see how awsome it truly is. I also believe that they plan to have 1:10 or 1:7 ratio on gameplay to cutscenes this time... much better than X's 1:2.

As for the Gambit system... it reminds me of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time's battle mode. A very interactive fighting theme one could say. All I can say is yes... your theory can be acknowledged thus far. But remember... wait for the game to actually come out before you attempt to make such accusation.

By the way... next time why don't you try explaining how you think it might be better than another FF in the series. Please?

FFXII in my opinion has a way deeper and touching storyline then FFX. If you saw the Introduction FMV of FFXII because curiosity got the better of you like me, you know what happens.

It's a story centered by some real life issues, well, things you can relate a lot to..politically haha. Oh, one simple reason why it will be better for sure - NO LOVE STORY. As such. I think.

I really liked the Demo for FFXII but i have to actually play through it before i can decide if it better than FFX. I think it would be great if it was better but i found FFX to be a really good game. FFXII never really caught my attention till recently and i really hope its good, because i preordered the special edition along with the special edition strategy guide so my $90 better be worth it

Haha i would say that they had a lot cut out for them to make it better then FFX, but if Famitsu thinks its better then i guess it is.

Am I in the minority when I say I like the random battles? Sure it can get real annoying but it also helps make sure you are leveling your characters up to par.

I dont understand what you mean. How do the battles in Final Fantasy XII not make sure your characters are up to par. The only thing different in XII is that you dont have to load battle screens and that it makes fleeing much much easier. So there is no reason that you should like the random battles over XII battles.

This, in some ways can make leveling up and earning LP a lot faster. It is also possible that fleeing may be more difficult in FFXII since you literally have to direct yourself to run away from enemies. It isn't like in other FFs where you can just hold down R1 and L1 and automaticly run from battle.

How about the fact the battles in FFXII aren't turnbased?
That's sort of a giant different.

While the story and character devlopement look promising, I find this battle system to be mediocre compared to FFX's and just plain mediocre for that matter.

FFX looks like it'll be a better game all around. The main character in this one looks even more like a male stripper than Tidus which to me, is bad.

I enjoyed X ( and X-2) alot but I simply can't wait for XII, the story is definantly going to be more political and war driven and I love the battle system and the license board from what I've read. Random Battles were always kinda annoying so heres to change!!
