Ok, that does sound a little crude, but I do have little sympathy for those who are lazy on jobs, while others are working their asses off to get money. You see it all the time, but the point of having a job is to do whatever the set agenda is fluidly to recieve your reward of payment.

A lot of jobs are sucky, yet you still need to work to the recomended ability. Try to motivate yourself to work next time.

That was kind of a spamy-one-liner but oh well. I guess I'll talk about my job life. Actually I've never had a job except to do well in school. I get 15 dollars a week in allowance and that plus holiday money is enough to get me the things I want. Besides the necesities I buy everything with my own money. I was thinking about getting a job at a golf course in my neighborhood where a lot of my friends work. But I really don't need the money because I've already saved up plenty for the PS3 and some games. I don't know when I'll get a job, probably in college when I'll need more. I made two bench swings out of wood with my dad's power tools this summer. I've already sold one for a quick $250 and I'm hopping to sell the other soon. My dad said he's going to give me all of his power tools when he dies so if I fail at college I can always become a carpenter. Yay for plan B's!

When I had my last job, I never was able to sleep on the job. I was always having to do something pretty active, so even if I'd wanted to sleep, I wouldn't have been able to. There were always other people around anyway. The pay was shitty, but still. I never got told off for doing anything wrong.

I was lifeguarding today and I was running on two hours of sleep. I actually started to doze off once, but one of the counselors (I work at a camp) splashed me and told me I should be paying attention. And she was definitely right.

My first factory job EVER was on a midnight shift. I worked from 12am to 8am. It sucked. I'd be sitting at the front of the machine trying to rip off the excess pieces of plastic from the bottles and I'd literally fall asleep sitting up.

My co-worker would grab a bunch of pieces of plastic and if he saw me doze off he'd throw one in my general direction to wake me up (my idea). Yeah, it was really brutal.

I think it says that sleeping on the job leaves space for getting fired. I am sorry for your loss, but you deserved it. Work is something you take seriously. An unless you had not gotten sleep in 2 days (even then being partly your fault) then you deserved it. however, getting fired is not the end of the world. None of us here have followed every rule in the book, but you should have seen it coming. No need to sulk, just go on with your life an get a new job. Word to the wise, if they ask you why you don't work there..LIE!

I quit a job one time, and I had been leaving my co-worker with only 7 hours a week. So when I left she descided to tell everyone that I got fired, and somehow she was a better worker. I died from laughing! XD

I was a chef at my old job, I was one of the best but they didn't treat me with respect so I walked out and told them to get f*cked

I worked screwed up hours as well, 4:30pm till midnight and since then I remained nocturnal, so much so that the sun makes me feel dizzy.

But yeah it was your own fault, when I worked the morning shift it became so boring that I had to just sit there and when the other staff weren't talking we would talk waiting for customers.
