It's just an excuse to get money, well kind of I mean she was pretty stupid to try met a guy online but a lot of sites don't have moderators looking after it. But her parents should be careful to watch what they are doing.

Well, what's funny is it said she actually went out with this guy to a movie, then went out to eat, and then the guy drove her to an empty nice spot and decided to put the moves on her. Wow, doesn't sound normal to me /sarcasm. Other than that a 14 year old really shouldn't be dating online anyway, there is such a thing called her hometown where I'm sure there are tons of guys there wanting to go out with her.

That is from the article, and I have just one thing to say to that comment. Even if myspace did make its users verify their age, they can easily just lie about their age.

God, people need to think about what they say before they actually say it. Even if it is in an article.

Agreed. There's nothing wrong with meeting someone online, but you have to be smart about it. This girl clearly wasn't smart and she paid for it. Myspace really had nothing to do with it, as has been mentioned by everyone already. Obviously her stupidity didn't give the man reason to rape her, but all the same, she was pretty much asking for it.

Anyone who's truly been sexually assaulted understands that it's not the case. It happened to me and I'll be ****ing DAMNED if someone is going to try and tell me that it was my own freaking fault. No man, regardless of anything has a right to just touch/grope someone. None.
