Okay, I fucked up without even trying.

A certain user complained to me about how the comment on her reputation didn't match her actual reputation level. So, I ran a cleanup on user reputations. For whatever reason, anyone who had reputation points before a certain time (I'm honestly not sure how or when) lost those points when the system cleaned everything up.

I get it. I am aware that it happened. I don't know why, but it did. I have a feeling it has something to do with all of the spam threads that are no longer in the database. Technically, that reputation doesn't exist any more, which is why some of your numbers may have dropped so dramatically.

If I had known it would happen, I obviously wouldn't have done it.

PLEASE STOP ASKING ME TO CORRECT YOUR REPUTATION. I WILL NOT FIX REPUTATION POINTS FOR HUNDREDS OF MEMBERS. I APOLOGIZE, BUT IT'S NOT THAT IMPORTANT. IT IS JUST A NUMBER. EARN MORE REPUTATION.

Mistakes happen, but it's really not that important. Make good posts and earn more. The majority of you couldn't have lost more than ten points anyway.

I feel your pain. But that is why I run weekly backups now

I opened up a backup I had from the 06/10 and it appears there were 2248 reputation entries at that point of time.

When I reviewed the database entries for the current date (06/19), I see that it is a higher number 2371. So I believe no entries were lost? But I honestly don't know.

If at all necessary, I can run a query to update all the user reputations back to 6/10, maybe that will help. But looking at the numbers in the database it appears that MORE entries were gained then lost. Maybe the counters aren't updated?

The counters probably aren't updated, but there seems to have been a huge surge of reputation usage since the hit everyone took with that cleanup, so by no means would I recommend resetting it to last week's numbers -- people would probably lose even more than they lost due to the server's cleanup.
