Bill Gates... and George Bush?!
Here is something odd for you techies to process.....
First off, open up a new wordpad document. Type something. Anything at all. Click the X in the corner and agree to save the changes. Open it up again, and you should see what you originally typed. Right? Simple. Basic computer stuff.... BUT Open up another new wordpad document, and this time type in "Bush hid the facts" without the quotations. Click the X in the corner and agree to save the changes. Open it back up and you should see the original typing, right???? Try it. I'll wait.... WTF IS THAT?! Its a conspiracy I tell ya... Someone explain this to me.

On 4 different computers.... all running XP... the text does not save.
Just a whole bunch of little squares. Its odd. Try saving by just clicking the X and saying Yes to save it. I went back and edited the instructions... Sorry

Hmm... I have done it on 4 completely different PC's... all worked.
Try just right clicking on your desktop... and then make a new text document from there

Well, just so you know, I don't have Microsoft Office. I use OpenOffice. So perhaps that's why?

Its very possible. Everything I run is straight Microsoft... so that is more than likely the answer.... Its crazy weird though... I have typed hundreds of things, and thats the only phrase that works....

I thinks it's because notepad shows the "changes" (I forgot the word) but Wordpad actual does them. I get it when I open a .doc file with notepad
