Accordingly to IMDb, Uematsu only scored the opening theme. All of the music was scored by Hitoshi Sakimoto. I'm not sure when that was last updated, but I do believe that's an accurate statement. If not, Cain Highwind purchased the OST straight from Japan, so he could tell you if there are any names missing.

cool, thanks
kinda depressing that Nobuo didnt have as much of a role in the music as he did in previous entries (tear). hopefully most of you feel the same way. |

I do, but I can understand him leaving Square-Enix to pursue his own projects.
I mean, he was with the company for a LONG time... it's about time he has the chance to throw himself out there for hire, and work freelance for other companies as well.

Yep that's right it's all Sakimoto (aka the guy who does FFT, FFT-A, and Vagrant Story among others). There's just a song called "Symphony of Hope" done by a Japanese Violinist (it's the song you hear in that English trailer I linked to. And of course there's Kiss me Goodbye which is done by Japanese/Italian Angela Aki wikth the theme done by Uematsu.
As a fan of Tactics I love his cinematic style, but like I said in the other topic, it sounds nothing like the varied-in-genre themes of FFVII or X. |
