Are There Mods in Final Fantasy Xl?

I'm just starting Final Fantasy Xl(because it's so expensive)and I was Wondering if their were mods in it like "runescap"?

I'm not sure if he means the GMs or actual game Mods tho? hmm.. there ARE some 3rd party programs out there for FF11, but you go and use them at your own risk because pretty much every program made "Violates the ToU". So they'll be on your ass if you admit to it.

So far I've seen nobody get a warning/banned though for using windower. I'm sure they'll annoy you if you said you use it though.
2 of the biggest/richest players of the server got permabanned last week for using flee tools too much.
Fleeing away from Meteorites at King Behemoth with every HNM ls on the server seeing it is not the best move to make.
Only Novio earring lost on the server (dropped from Jailer of Love) and second Dalmatica+1 on the server lost, ouch! lol.

Well, another modification you can do is .dat swapping. It lefts you change a model for any other model, but if you mix improper ones up(such as switch a gun with a sword) It doesn't work so well.

And so far as I know, you can't be caught for that one because its solely runs of off information from your machine.

With windower, you can get caught if your stupid, but, hopefully, you won't have any problems there. There's also the off chance that every once in a while, your auto-translate stuff shows up japanese

never had that myself yet so far that it turns jp, but meh. might have been lucky so far.
You can't really get caught for using a windower, only that I can think of is that you would shout it in jeuno that you're using it or something. it's not something that other people can notice otherwise.

There are, but I don't think they really do anything effective.. such as.. if you report someone to MPK you or whatever. This is just from my personal experiences, but they do sometimes get people with the third person parties such as botting and windower.

Well the thread starter is using Runescape as an example, and there are no third party programs that people use in RS because it's so easy to tell if someone's hacking the game, and people will be sending e-mails to Jagex about it.

Plus, RS Guilds are called Clans and RS GMs are called Moderators. Yeah... Runescape likes to **** with their termonology.

The JP thing is just a random occurence, no clue why that happens, I've seen it happen to someone who didn't run windower. .DAT swapping isn't really all that bad as long as you pay attention to how to do it right (nekkid Mithra ftw!).

I might add that the .DAT file swapping can also give you Vrtra for a Moogle, allow you to put wings on your character by replacing a specific piece of armor with it, and many other interesting cosmetic differences. ^^

I've been thinking of looking into changing the symbol for Utsusemi for myself, to make it easier to define up on my status bar, cuz the little arrow up symbol gets used for so much crap. ><;

Cept your comp might crash when it will do special attacks, haha. But an alliance taking on a moogle owns!
