Resident Evil:Apocalypse.

Yeah, this film is sort of old now. I just got through watching it for the first time, and I have to say, I was seriously disappointed.

I enjoyed Resident Evil 1, and had big expectations of this movie, despite having before seen the Nemesis' plasticky appearence through ads. I started it up and watched, and I actually, although disappointed, enjoyed most of it. What I didn't like, was how strong the T Virus made Alice.

I'm a big fan of Milla Jovovich, and still am, but I thought this film wasn't... horror enough? It was more action then horror and that's another aspect of why I was disappointed. I'm pretty glad that I didn't go out and buy this, and that it's my sisters' boyfriends' movie. I doubt i'll buy this.

Has anybody else since this?

If so, what did you think of it?

I downloaded it a long ass time ago and was disappointed as well. Like you I enjoyed the first one even though a lot of people didn't. It was made to the effect that it was still a movie based on a video game, yet a well-made zombie movie that had moments that made you jump.

Over-all good acting, good story, scary moments. RE:A didn't have much of any of this. The acting was a little cheesier, the story-line was stupid, and like you said it wasn't scary at all.

I gave it 1 star out of 4.

Yeah, exactly!

I remember in the first one how much killing, blood and horror moments there were, also waaay more zombies... I prefer horror films that aren't TOO over the top. RE:A was too OTT, I know loads of people who hated both movies, though.

I watched it again recently too and I'm overall dissapointed with both movies. I've been playing Resident Evil all my life and I'm a big fan. The first movie had absolutly nothing to do with the game, only for the T-Virus and the zombies, and I really thought it was crap. Sure it had a nice few zombies, but there were too many in one spot, they should have spread it out more. Plus, the characters were really dumb. The second movie was a lot better than the first one, but I still thought it wasn't that great.

The thing I didn't like about Jill was that her personality was really bitchy compared to the game. I thought that Carlos was played well with an awesome actor to portray him. I wanted Nicholai to survive because I thought he was cool, that was a stupid move to kill him off. And the thing about the S.T.A.R.S, why couldn't they add Chris, Barry, Leon or Wesker?! Come on, those character practically make up the entire game, along with Chris' sister Claire.

They are planning to make a third movie, and I pray to God that it will be better...

Wesker and Chris should've been added, I agree. But I actually liked Jill in the movie. I thought her bitchiness was pretty hilarious. Kind of reminds me of myself, I guess. Not to be vain, though.

I liked the black dude, although I can't even remember his name. Shows how much attention I pay.

I also like the games. I stilll prefer Silent Hill, though.

Not really. Unless you prepare yourself to be disappointed.

Nowhere near as much blood or zombies. Watch it if you get borrow it from somebody, but if you have to buy it... I wouldn't recommend...

I was dissapointed too. I remember looking it up on the Internet and getting extremely hyped up about Nemesis! Jill and Nemesis were dissapointments. I was hoping Nemesis would do the old "Stars" saying. It was soo cool and creepy. And isn't Nicholai sposed to be evil in the game? Sheesh...I wish they could base it around RE3 and not includr very slight elements of it. Still a good movie for a RE fan though I guess.

Snave. Nemesis did say "STARS"... He killed 12 STARS members and then said it. Thats when the black dude was all "rezpect" to the Nemesis. They is *****s now.

i saw it and i goota agree with you the first time i watched it i thought it was really good but then i watched it again i noticed it flaws and crappy script. thats why i prefer films like 'house of flying daggers' (awesome)

This just proves that Silent Hill not only OWNS Resident Evil GAMES. But also Resident Evil films.
