Easy way to Dodge Lighting

I found it rather easy to dodge 200 lighting at Thunderplain. It's the 2nd easiest to obtain Ultimate Weapon. 1st one still goes to Yuna.
All u got to do is equip No Encounter Weapon. Stand in any spot (not near tower) and dodge the lighting. U will jump a bit off behind when u dodge. Jes move a little in front back where u stand and keep doing that. I did it in no time and got 216 dodge. when i counted 200, i did a bit extra jes in case my calculation is wrong. I think i can go further if i wan to..

Extra tipping, keep your room dark and turn off the sound. It's a lot easier to predict lightning that way. There is also a map on gamefaqs that shows certain places where lightning strikes anywhere from one to three times in a row.

These are all useful tips, but sadly there's no guaranteed easy place for lightening. And this is still easily the second hardest weapon to acquire, not being able to in any form beat out Kimhari's for difficulty.
It's the time needed, rather than dodging that makes it hard.

Yeah, you cannot belief how pissed off i was. To get to 197. My annoying sibling snatching the controller and at that precise moment, the one time my focus is broken, Tidus gets hit. I was so pissed off i couldn't get back into it for ages

Yup, u need a full focus on yourself. Cast Tidus focus on urself lol. Btw, it's real easiy. I did it in 4 part altogether. Dodge 50+, then relaks, another 50+ then relax, then another 50+, go treat urself. Make some orange juice or something to make u fresh.. Then the final 50. I am not sure where is the exact location i stand but it seems that the timing of the lighting there are about the same. and only 1 lighting each, then will strike again in about 3-5 seconds. Duno if i am just lucky to find that spot or wat.

Followed Griffith's advice. Turned off the lights, muted the TV. Finished 20 dodges in no time.

you should also take a rest for every IDK 50 bolt dodge so your eyes will focus better, and stay calm too.

I really hated doing that, I could only dodge about 10 or so at a time before I would get struck again. I never bothered to try getting the weapons and such, mainly because I hated doing that. It takes too much time and effort in my opinion. I will try Beserker's advice because that makes it sound a lot easier for me! Hopefully I can do it and not muck up for once.
