i can't beleive no ones ever made a thread about star wars!
Well anyway, Who here likes the star wars trilogy? My fav.
movie was Revenge of the sith. Such a sad movie to me

Yeah I agree, the star wars trilogy is great! I liked them all equally to be honest. Great TRILOGY!

I'm pretty sure this forum has seen a thread about Star Wars about five times over. In fact, I'm about 68.342% sure that if I were to look hard enough, I could find a thread about it. But I'm lazy, so I'll just declare this one the newest official Star Wars conversation thread! Hurrah!

I hate Star Wars, by the way. Everytime I watch it, I suddenly feel the urge to take a thousand hour nap. OHNOES DANE COOK

I like the Star Wars movies. They are really enjoyable to watch. I only got the whole collection on DVD pretty recently and I always love watching them. My favourite movie would be either A New Hope or Revenge of the Sith. My favourite character would probably be Anakin Skywalker or Obe Wan Kenobi. My brother loves these movies more than me though. He loves all that kind of stuff.

can i be picky and point out that revenge of the sith isnt in the trilogy, its in the saga. The trilogy consists of ep. IV, V and VI

my fav star wars movie has always been and will always be ep V: empire strikes back. That movie kicked too much ass.

personally i dislike I,II,III just because i feel next to IV,V,VI they are waay too overdone, theres too much going on you can't really focus on the story-telling. although the majority of III was better out of I,II and III i still hate that damn ending tho, wen vader cries NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! god that sickened me. The darkest, most well-known villain in cimematic history turns into a ***** in 5 seconds.

IV,V,VI own I,II,III and V owns them all

I gotta agree, the original 3 kick ass way more then the new ones. I went to the premieres of all 3 movies way back, and i can still remember the audience being blopwn away by the effects and images at the time.

I mean if you want to nitpick the movies you could go on for years about this and that, but it all boils down to the fact they are good movies, just to sit and watch and escape for a while, and i love sf so i guess i'm biased already

does anyone remember that George Lucas originally planned ( movies? there was to be an episode 7, 8, and 9, but i have never heard anything else about it, this was way back when the firt one came out in 1977.
I agree the new movies are good, my fave being attack of the clones for the battle scenes in the last part of the movie, but they rely too heavily on special effects to tell the story and not enough character development.

Anyway i'm not Roger Ebert, so i'll just say as a whole they're good.

And yes i own all of them and i love all the hidden features on the dvd's! If you dont know about them PM me and i'll tell you how to access them--the bloopers are hilarious!!

the first three made where awesome and then the last three where meh at best, but their is a film which trumps them all, it is related. it is a film about the ewarks (the little fury guys) thats name i can remember (because i watched it when i was about 6). anyway that is it.

I enjoy watching the old ones. They're just peachy good fun, even though they're old and I'm a special effects whore.

The new ones had nice graphics here and there but sucked **** otherwise...it was neat to see the history but it just wasn't...right. I dunno.

The movie was the last one. Ep.VI Return of the Jedi. That was a pretty da** awesome. EWOK!! ^_^

May favorite Star Wars movie would be episode III. I like how lucas just pulled it all together. it was a good idea and very awesome movie altogether.

Also totally unrelated was a christmas special aired once, it never got released on video and is now incredibly rare, not movie related but a fun fact.
As for the movies, the first three are undeniable classics and probably just edge out the Godfather trilogy, as best trilogy of movies ever.
As for the technical prequel, but also second lot they bore me. There's some good points. but they really bore me in the rest.

My favorite Star War was the revenge of the sith. I have not seen the very last one though. I don't even know if that is it's real name. I am more of a star trek fan. But I do know it is the one with Darth Maul in it. I guess if I was to view them all. I would want to watch the one with That fat worm an princess leia. SO maybe that is my favorite?? LOl
