I always leave the default names alone. That way, I feel like I haven't bastardized the story or accidentally created a duplicate name, which is CONFUSING AS HELL. I like the default name because I feel like it belongs in the story.

I agree with Wyatt. I HATE changing names. I ALWAYS leave it as it is.
In fact, when I see someone playing a game and I see a character with a name I know it´s not the real one, I get kinda angry. Go figure. But then again I am a really angry person. |

I think I named him Striker on my first time cause I was a dork back then. Now I never change the character names, except I make my own regular folks and name them characters from the fiction I write.

I named Ramza "Zoron" after a character in a story i wrote. The reason is, ramza looks much like Zoron, well only in his upper torso (the armor) the hair is kinda the same...but not the right color... actually, Zoron was created the day i named Ramza it, i have no idea where i got it.

Mines a bit funny. Years ago when I first played FFT, I named him "Beowulf". Then, I figured out his last name was Beoulve...the irony was awesome.

Hey Killey I assume you got that from Suikoden?. Not bad. I'm a Suikoden fan too but that's beside the point. Let's see. I usually name him either Kira (after Kira Yamato from Gundam Seed) or Tbone (a friend of mine came up with that one)
