Photoshop Beginings

This is my first of many attempts at photoshop. I cropped this picture an inserted text. How am I doing so far? I will put more in here as I go along.

I am confused what is going on here.....

I have an idea what that is in the lower left corner, but I may be wrong.

My head thinks different than most people... LOL

It is my BF playing nentendo. You have to actually click on the image to see what I wrote. I put OWNED all over it

Haha. Yeah.. I had a feeling it was the kiddo. The image isn't that bad for a beginner. Just keep going at it and you'll get good in no time.

Right, I'm gonna be honest and say I don't like it. The text sucks, and the whole thing... well, it's crap. :\ I can give you a few pointers, though. Experiment. Anyone can crop an image and add text to it. A good start when using photoshop, would be to make use of the filters. You can find the filters on the toolbar up top. You can get some pretty nice effects with them. A particular favourite of mine is the Wind of Tiles effect. You can do practically anything to photos and images with Photoshop. If you're stuck for ideas, or if there's something you would like to do, but can't. Like, maybe make the text glow or something... check this site out. It can be really handy.

You might want a good pop-up killer, though. This place is a bastard for those. Look through all the different Photo and Image Effects they have there. There's loads. It's a really good place for beginners to learn a great deal on Photoshop. I hope to see something better next time, and I hope I've been pretty helpful.

Also I suggest messing around with layers and the Magic wang, my sig below was my first proper photoshop job, still learning to but I mostly have problems with things not going as I would suspect they should. No offense but that stuff is easily done with paint but nice try

Just like those countless other "Owned" images. People really should try and avoid making those.
