Humans are truely the scum of the planet, the dulge into their deepest desires in hope of being fufulled, without giving something back. The majority of the Human race on a whole is a bunch of illogical parasites bent on their pathetic needs and wants. I am absolutely disgusted at the way people treat me, esspecially after what I do for others, and yes, I probably am 1 of the nicest people you will ever met. I mean sure there are a few nice people out there who will offer something for the benefit of others whilst having the potential to harm themselves, but these poor creatures are often the ones who get thrown in the pit and spat on, I should know cause I am 1 of them. And to tell the truth I am f*cking sick of it.

I don't care too much about money as most people do, I am only human but it is getting to the point that I don't really care for anything anymore. I have wanted friends/girlfriends but it seems that people constantly attack me to get their opinion across. I hate the way people percieve me as 'weird' and I don't know why the hell they have to open their f*cking mouth and say it. It seems as though people only say what the want to say rather than what needs to be said, humans are scared little worms hiding in the dirt when the big evil facts come along, in the mud where it should be!

Actually to be honest, I am sure that 99% of the time people are doing something they never ever think of what is going to be the outcome of it, I always do but I always expect an outcome. Depending on what I am looking at an outcome for, half the times I am right, the other half I am completely wrong BUT thats cause I didn't think of it the right way or my methods are wrong. At least I try to, but alas dealing with humans is utterly futile. I have much more I can say on the subject but the truth is not much people are going to take it seriously, and even if the do it will last 5 pages at max and then fade away to oblivion. I doubt anybody really cares what I think, but if you do then providing you have talked to me on more than 1 occasion, tell me what my obsessions is...

We are crafted in God's image like no other race, BUT we are the only one cabable of sinning. Man living in the fleh truly is scum, giving into fleshly desires, living for themselves. It's sad, really.

Yes, I'd be inclined to think like that as well.

Although I personally wouldn't go so far as to say we're the scum of the universe or anything, but I do think we're the ones with the most faults. You don't see animals doing the same shit we do to each other. It's awful.

But I don't mean this the wrong way, but you're also not the only nice person out there who gets mean things done to them. Gotta stick up for yourself. Life is what you make it. If you're going to allow yourself to be a doormat, then don't bitch about it.

I should know, I was the same way. I'd bend over backwards to help people. If my friends didn't have money, but wanted to go out, I would pay for their night out, even though I didn't have alot of money either. I'd always be there for them. I literally was the best friend anyone could ever have.

But then people started to take advantage of me. I got tired of it, and grew a backbone. Life is alot more lonley for me now, because I don't put up with people's shit. But at least I can sit here and know that I don't allow anyone to walk all over me.

You should try to do the same.

I don't think we are the scum of the planet, but we are pretty bad. Of course their are two ways to veiw your stance. Can you see how by calling everyone in the universe scum is a little hypocritical. I agree that you are a really nice guy, but feeling that you are supirior because you have a nice streak is not very nice. I am a nice person, and sometimes humans make mistakes. There are times I let something slip out that was mean, or done things I am not proud of, and in those times I hope that a "nice" person will firgive me for it. We don't know what is going on in other people's lives. The majority of the world is really messed up, and therefore you get messed up people. I am not giving them an excuse for the way they have treated you, but you have to see that by telling them they are scum an bragging about how much nicer you are is not going to solve the world crisis. You just have to know when to turn the cheek an when not to. That way you don't get walked over, but you are still a nice person to be around. It is that balance that is key to life. I do think you are a really nice guy though

Ya we make mistakes and we are crappy,but we think we are all king of the world king of crap king of good king of whutever, just admit your human if you don't feel remors then your as good as dead,just living so that sucks for you but git over it ya easier sead then dun thats for shur but still

Well I am not to sure but I think it just happened again when I went down town to my GP, some stupid little kid playing with his phone pointing it at me and being a general nuisence. Anyway, I had a good friend last year, kind of my only friend at that point in time but we were kind of opposites, he was the hyperactive kind of 'blonde with black hair' kind of personality, where as I was the typical angry red head. Anyway through school I worked a lot (more than I should of) and ended up paying for everything and when I got a car I would end up taking him everywere, he tried to pay me back a little bit but generally he couldn't afford it, eventually he got his car but most of the time we were even when we decided to be (with money mostly, I'd run out and he'd lend me and the other way round), but he meant good he probably just didn't realise it. But I have met people who are much worse. Oh and the thing in the flame forum calling myself Superior was a piss take, obviously nothing in there is taken seriously.

Tiffany - I know exactly what you mean, I have gone through the same stuff and tried to make the best of it, but in the end it doesn't seem to help

cheesygirl - I meant nicer than most people, but trust me, there are much nicer people out there than me, but I don't know anybody in particular, I don't think I am better than everybody else, I think I just have a better understanding of what is going on. In fact I during my final year of school they said I would make a good pyscologist(sp) lol

I still stand by the fact that most humans are idiotic worms, but there are a few out there that aren't.

I have to disagree. I do not think humans are scum of the Universe or the Earth. For one, we're in no position to judge whether or not we are significant enough to negatively affect the Earth and most certainly not the universe. In fact, it's pretty arrogant to think we're a huge threat to the planet. I think we'll end up killing ourselves before we become a significant threat to Earth.

War? Pollution? Deforestation? Crime? Pirating? Selfishness? Yeah, we're guilty of them all. But who is more affected by these atrocities? It's us humans. The Earth has been through a Hell of lot worse in it's fiery young ages. We're nothing but a bad case of the flu in Earth's eyes. Nothing a fever can't fix.

So, no, we're not scum of the Earth.

However, despite all our faults, I still revere mankind for its potential to do good. I'm always amazed by what us humans can do. Our technologiocal advancement, our culture, our evolution, our humanity... it's all fascinating and worth admiring.

Now, I know in day to day events, it seems humans are utterly stupid, vain, fickle, selfish, cowardly, and sometimes evil. Because, we as a species are. But at the same time, we're clever, insightful, persistant, selfless, brave, and good. It's not hypocritical at all. Just like how darkness can't exist without light, we're simply two sides of the same coin. We, as humans, are childrens of the Earth, and grandchildren of the universe and all. So, it shouldn't be a surprise that we have bits of everything ingrained in our very essense. Another way of looking at it is that we are a product of an omnipotent god. So, therefore, we would have everything this god has but on a much limited scale.

So, we all have this huge potential. And with that potential, we have this amazing power to turn this immense potential, good and bad, into reality. And even more amazing is that we get to choose how our potential develops. We can commit the powerful act of ending another's life, or save it, or even create a new life. We can choose to harness a new source of energy for benefits for all, or we can destroy ourselves with it. Unlike the planet or the universe which are amoral, we get to choose. The power of choice is both frightening and awe inspiring.

It's great you choice to be a kind person. And yeah, it's sad you seem to only see selfish ones. But, the ones you see are but a fraction of the entire population. Find good people. They're out there. And when you do find them, stick with them and never give the bad ones the time of day.

It always boggles me why some people keep hanging out with the wrong crowd. They hang out with negative people, bad people. And start to see and think and act negatively in response. If all you see are bad people and it jades you to the point where you you hate humanity and just don't try to be good anymore, I urge you to get out somewhere different. Find good people, with good qualities, and focus on them. Focus on the good things. Be inspired by the good instead of being discouraged by the bad. Continue to cultivate the good things and eventually you'll surround yourself with the good things, enabling you to do more good things.

It's your choice. Christians believe God gave humans free will and agree we do have this ability. But it only affects ourselves the most. That's my belief.

I wouldn't go so far as to condemn all humans as the scum of the earth. Sure, we have our ****ups and our bad apples, but that doesn't mean that there aren't millions of good people who are simply trying to make ends meet. Hell, everyone has an off day. I'm sure the pope has even whacked his hand with a hammer and said "God damnit" before.

If you haven't read "Watchmen," by far one of the greatest graphic novels of our time, I highly suggest you do, because in essence, it deals with this type of idea, while pondering if saving or destroying humanity is the proper cause of action. Basically, is it worth it to kill everyone and start over, or let everything recede into a "cesspool" of crime. We may pollute, and we may be depleting the earth's resources, but it doesn't make us bad people. It just makes us wasteful and ignorant. Hell, the only bad people, and scum, are the rapists and murderers out there, who maliciously attack innocent people. Throwing a candy wrapper into the street isn't evil.

I happen to believe that the world is inherently good, but there are certain people that can ruin things for a lot of people. Granted, there are people like Hitler and people like Bush who are screwups, who did and are ruining people's lives, but those people are not me and you. We don't have the power to build and crush nations. However, we do have the power to affect ourselves and those around us. We can brighten someones day by lending them a dollar so they can get a meal. We can also screw people over royally. We really do have a power to change the world; if not on a massive scale, but by small acts of kindness, which are in turn greeted by kindness. I know it sounds like a long shot and it sounds like crazy hippie bullshit, but just try being nice to everyone for a day, because doesn't it feel really good when cashiers and other people are really nice to you?

On a side note, I brought up Bush and Hitler, but I'm not trying to make this political by any means, so lets just pretend I just used the two most malicious leaders in your opinion.

How is it arrogant? The world was once a beatiful place full of exotic species and we use to be natures Finest, but the majority of us have taking advantage of it, consumed all the resources without thinking of how it will effect our children. Well this isn't really an issue of our planet but more so on how we treat others.

The earth suffers more than you realise, take a good look at the atrocities at the Mexican border, rubbish everywere and nobody cares, they're more concerned about getting over the border and taking advantage of the USA whislt turning it into a cesspool. We have destroyed the Ozone layer which is going to make it hotter, which has proved to hinder advancements in Society, returning us back to a state of babarianism.

Again not really what I was going for, but I do agree with you, BUT we rarely use it to advance our planet, just our own greed.

Actually in the begining there was only Darkness, so in essence Darkness is where we actually begin and we will end. I have nothing against evil, cause 99% of the time, people that seem evil have very good reason behind what they are doing and are very intelligent. Call me old fashion, but I think it is best to keep that balance of good vs evil, without it there would be no friction and henceforth no reason to progress.

Indeed, I do think we have the potential to do many amazing things, as I said in my above statement, we need opposites to advance, whether good vs evil, or black vs white, here is an example with video games: The new X-Box 360 came out and it had a few bugs, whilst they worked on them hackers were figuring out how to hack the console, this may seem like a bad thing to some and good to others, anyway to attempt to avoid getting hacked again they will increase security measures to attempt to keep them out, now with doing this they will learn not only how to protect their games from copyright, the hackers will continue to try and break it, going in a cycle each time gaining more knowledge of how it works and leading to advance

That is a very rare occurence in modern society, and I believe its only happened in the past 100 or so years, believe me if I could find decent people then I would. Like I have stated early, people look at me and don't want to have anything to do with me.
