AC question

Would u have to play Final Fantasy 7 to understand or enjoy Advents Children?

It depends if you like that kind of film, mainly fighting, story takeing second bench.
Plus theres a quick plotrun through on the disk.

Well, I, personally, had to replay the game to get only a few minor details. You can watch it, but I feel that you might be a little bit lost. So, to be on the safe side, I'd play the game either before, or after. That way, you can clear up a few things. ^__^

That isn't true. Many of my friends have NOT played the game and every single one of them got the jist of it, but hardly understood what was going on. Like when they saw Sephiroth they were like - He's bad, right? And before you call them dumb, they are not. They had just never played VII. So it DOES help, don't let 'em lie. xD

My friends did the same thing, mainly because my friends that had played FFVII looked shocked and were saying things like "AHH!! NO!!!"

But thats mainly because I'm evil and made them watch the Japanese version of it. They had NO idea what was going on lol.

It really does help to have played the game, or at least have some knowledge of it. The "Reminisce of FFVII" does give you a quick run down of the story. It certainly reminded me of some things I'd forgotten. Even if you watch the movie first, I seriously recommend playing the game, it's one of the best FF's (many people say THE best) out there, so it isn't a waste of time.

EDIT: The Japanese voices are awesome. I love Sephiroth's first line ^.^

i find that if you play the game it just makes you bitch at the tv more because tifa is not even useing gloves that are as good as her initial equiping and a lot of things are screwed up in the movie

I didn't bitch at the TV at all. Maybe when you saw Aerith, but other than that, I didn't give damn. It was all great, I thought. And besides, Tifa's WHOLE outfit had changed, you can't expect her to keep the old fighting equipment she'd managed with in VII!

The "Reminisce of FFVII" does give you a quick run down of the story.

I was just going to say the same thing. If you want a run-down of the game, but don't want to play the game entirely through then I would recommend watching Remininse of FFVII as well.

I would play the game at some point though, while I don't think it's the end all/be all that other people say it is, it's still decent.

you cant be trying to say that the leather golves in AC are more powerful than the platinum fist in the game or even her initial equiping considering that the first ones she has in the game have steel over her knuckles

I watched it with one of my friends over, and he has never touched a Final Fantasy game...

After the film, he asked "What was that about again?"

He had no clue. So based on that, I say yes.

I'd say you probably ought to play it, but if you don't have the time, read a FAQ. There's plenty of sights out their that have the main chunks of the story down in file format.

If you haven't played the game, then you'd be watching it for the same reason you'd watch the last two Matrixes, for the fights, not the storyline. If you have played the game, then it's less so.

Dude, I never said that. All I'm saying is that her outfit changed - so with an outfit change, you have to go about changing mostly everything.
