Strange Things We Believed As Children

Comon, we know the world looks completely
different when you are 3-years old compared to now.
What kinds of strange things did you believe to be true
when you were younger?
The Boogie Man? Cooties? Anything unusual?

I had a really wierd one @_@...
I would always go pee before eating dinner at the
table, because I believed that if I needed to pee while I was eating,
the pee would fill up and reach my mouth!

I have no clue where I got that idea...
Anyways... I was about 8 when I stopped believing this
and it had to take some convincing from my parents

Haha. When I was young, I believed if I slept fully under my feather blanket, I would suffocate.

I used to believe that if you ate apple pips, an apple tree would grow in your stomach. Same with any other kind of seed. Then one day I was eating sunflower seeds all day, and wondered why there wasnt sunflowers growing inside of me.

And Relm, the pee thing is funny! That cracked me up!

i used to think that chocolate milk came from brown cows.

Haha I used to think that when people got old, they would turn back into babies again. I used to argue about it with my Mum a lot. I used to say 'Once you grow up, you turn back into a baby!' Yeah, I wish! I have no idea how I thought that. Oh well, I was only little and it's funny looking back on it!

Oh and I used to believe in Santa, I think most children did. I remember one year...I think I was four or five and it was late. My parents always said that 'If you don't go to sleep when Santa gets here, he'll leave and won't come back to give you your presents.' My Dad thought it would be smart to throw a rock on the roof to make me think that it was Santa and his sleigh. My parents said 'You better get to bed otherwise Santa won't come at all!' It made me panic and rush off to bed lol. I know that isn't a strange thing to believe in but it's funny to remember.

Oh! Another story...this one is about the 'Easter Bunny'. I was about six or seven I think. My Mum was putting chocolate eggs in my Easter basket in my room and I saw her. I was really confused because I was silly enough to believe in the Easter Bunny. In the morning I woke up and asked my Mum why the Easter Bunny looked like you. She said he was using a disguise or something like that. I was stupid enough to believe it of course LOL.

OH! I remember also when I was little, me and my father were walking around a mall one day and I saw a midget. I asked Dad why they were so small and he said that one of those huge anvil things (like in Looney Tunes) hit them in the head and it made them short. I BELIEVED IT LOL. Silly little me. He was stupid to tell me that!

Memo to self: Don't ask Dad anything.

I used to think that if i didnt get completely under the blankets when i went to bed, that monsters would come out of my floor and bite my feet. I have NO idea how i came up with this.

Santa ****ing sucked in my family, and my family is full of dirty liars trying to prove that Santa was real. Liars. I caught them wrapping presents and eating cookies. Everything was over after that. I no longer believed in the Easter Bunny, or anything else after that.

I used to be petrified of the dark. I thought some form of monster was going to get me. Or vampires. Monsterrrrrs! Raaaawr! But I loved Halloween and scary movies then too. I would just hide under the covers and I would be protected!

I got left at church by myself, on multiple different occasions. After that, I said, "NO THANKS

". Now I'm just in between. :/.

It's weird. My half sister believe that as well. She used to tell my mother she'd look after her went she turned into a baby.

Where the hell do you people get these ideas!?

Haha...I used to be scared of sleeping in the bottom bunk of the bunkbeds... I was afraid that creepy tiny little monsters would come in the room. (I had watched Silent Hill ((for the first time. Bless.)))... come to think about it, I wasn't THAT young either. I was about... eleven. Man. I sucked.
