i hope this game is not like the previous games on the ps2 which were comapritively short compared the the ps1 versions. i liked 10 and 10-2 but ther were so short it took me 38 hours to complete them both so does anyone here know if the game is short or long because i dont want to buy it if its short.

i've played over 70 hours ( inclusive of quests )

and i believe i can still play another 15+ hours

I think ffX2 was way shorter than the first, and that the first one was fairly long.

ffx-2 was way too short..

completed it like 20+ hours ( 80% side story complete )

FFX wasn't short, you just had the crappy american version without the extras. Get FFX international, that can take up to 200hours if you have the patience. But I suspect that FF12 will be anywhere between 50 - 120 hours depending on the way you play it. Personally I do not like to rush things as you miss a lot of stuff.

Yeah, the international version of FFX wasn't that short. It took me a fair while to get through it. I'm sure FFXII will be just as long, I don't think it will be a short game. X-2 was probably shorter because it's a sequel. Since XII isn't a sequel, I'm sure it won't be too short. It depends on how quickly you play the game. Some people like to take their time while others like to rush through it. If it's a shorter game like X-2, I think I would be very disappointed.
