How did You feel when (spoiler)?

Of all the times I've played FF7 the part that really gets to me is Aeris's death and how she died that got to me. Now I think this is my 10th time playing the game but this time was different cause I leveled up hard on all my characters especially Aeris, she really helped my party in really tight spots. When I saw Sephiroth flying down and stabbed Aeris through the heart I just all of a sudden broke out into tears and then I had a boss fight to get over my grief I literally kicked Jenova's ass. Then I seriously kicked Sephiroth's ass in the end. So how did Aeris's death make you feel?

Well, after the incident, as it should now be referred to for people like kr1sse, I felt truely sad for probably the only time ever in a game. But all turned out okay, I found a new character to love, the Tonberry!

Then I wondered why a phoenix down wouldn't work

even though i didnt use her that much, i grew atachted to her.......and when she died the first i seen it i cryd like a lil bitch.........no joke
but after the first time i just felt sad............
not as sad as when cloud got shot in advent children.........i bout cryd then too

I was like: "Ah, NOOO! She's my best character!!"

But yeah, I get very emotional at that part, the music is a large part of that too.

I like how the Battle with Jenova LIFE has very "respectful" and serene music, almost as if to say to you: "We know you're hurting, but life goes on... you must defend yourself..."

To be honest, I didnt really care that much. I just wasnt that emotionally involved with the game. I only used her when I had to, and for the most part I thought of her as just another party member...

Call me insensitive, but I just sorta shrugged. Kind of saw it coming. She was way too innocent, and that never lasts.

I wouldn't be the first to call you "insensitive," Plastik. As per I didn't really greatly care, either. Possibly because I'd already heard all about that scene, so I was anticipating it when it came around. I was more looking at the other characters' reactions to her death than her death. It felt kind of dark and haunting, actually, because then you fought Jenova while Aeris's theme music played in the background. That was kind of weird.

I think another contributing factor to my not caring as much was because I prefered Tifa to be with Cloud over her, anyway.

I even got Tifa on the date instead. Didn't know you were supposed to press over to look out the window when she told you about something, however, so Cloud just kind of sat their with his arms folded the whole time, looking cold... heh.

I think the first time I played, Tifa was my favorite character; she was even at a higher level than Cloud for most of the second half of the game. Not that that should necessarily mean that I wouldn't care about Aeris, but... *shrug*

When I first saw it, I wasnt all broke down, getting ready to collapse type deal. I was depressed, yeah, I didnt use her very often, she was weak for me..

Throughout the game I was hoping Id be able to revive her somehow, maybe Cloud and co would go on some side quest to ressurect her, but I was wrong, Aeris was history.. If you really want Aeris though, just stick on Disc 1 heh..

Some people get emotionally attached to character they like, it's common to all forms of entertainment media, not just video games.

Many people grow fond of characters in TV shows (Stargate SG-1 for instance with Daniel Jackson), or books. There was even a film based on the idea, "Misery" the Stephen King film starring Kathy Bates.

and plus you know ur playing a good game if you get into it that much

if you play and dont get emotionly involved in any way shape or form then the ceators of that game failed because that is what they try to do.

It was kind of sad when Aeris died. I didn't cry really, I probably had tears in my eyes but I didn't actually end up crying. I thought it was sad because she was such an awesome character. I used her a lot in battle, she was the main healer. It was unfortunate that she got killed. I wish she could have stayed in the game. I stopped playing it after she died because she was my favourite character and I felt there was no reason to complete the game LOL.

I'll play it again one day..maybe.

Yuffie makes a good secondary Healer for the party, she was in my party almost constantly after getting her from the forests near Fort Condor/Junon.

Clear Tranquil is pretty neat (50% of your Max HP recovered! Yay!), plus you can also get her Boomerang weapon from the Formula monsters at the same time! One new healing character with a more-powerful-than-standard weapon all in one!
