I didn't really like Final Fantasy IX as much as the others. I liked the gameplay, and the bosses Gizamaluke and Tiamat were cool, but i didnt feel as much connection with the characters as much as in previous games. Vivi was cool, and Amerant was strong, but i didnt find them as interesting as my favorites Vincent, Seifer, Zell, Cid, Sabin and Edgar from some of the other games.

I also found the battle system not as good. For example, only Vivi could use black magic and only Garnet and Eiko could use white magic and summon. I think characters should have their own unique attacks, but i prefer to have others to be able to summon and use magic.

So overall, no, I doubt a remake should be instore for this game.

Truthfully, I really like final fantasy 9. It was a really beatiful game. It was very unique for the series of FF. Overall, I would seariously give the game like 7 out of 10. It did have it's flaws. But I believe it's worthy enough of a remake.

what would be a point in a remake it would just be the same game just better graphics i would not waste my money on it.

Don't ask me why but I dont feel a FFIX sequel wouldn't be a good move.
And i think its too soon to remake the game even though I'd love too see nintendo and square-enix make a deal for FF7, 8 and 9 for DS. That would be so brilliant - although it'll never happen (sigh)

I think that IX is fine, just as it is.
The graphics are still beautiful to look at, so, no, I wouldn't say it needs a remake, but I would buy it, if said remake ever gets made.

I think a great move for Square-Enix would be, remaking 7,8, and 9, for the PSP. Seariously, that isn't a bad idea.

Final Fantasy IX doesn't really need a remake. The graphics are still pretty top-knotch. The game was pretty solid in all categories, in fact. They should give a total remake to something like Final Fantasy II or Final Fantasy IV. The tone in those games would be pretty compatible with today's graphics, perhaps.

I think if they made a remake their would have to be more than just better graphics, they should put in more to do with chocobo's and have other side quest appart from digging and delivering mail, if they did that then i would by it but if it was just better graphics probably wouldn't waste my money

I'd say remake it if they didn't **** the plot and story all up. I really enjoyed FFIX, so it'd be nice to see those familiar faces...with a...face...lift?

I dont think they should make a remake it is the best final fantasy game on this planet!! I love this game it has a good story line and is full of surprises i meen its only a ps1 game and it still rockz

i dont know if im right but i believe that zidane was able to save kuja. so i think if they made a IX-2 they should make it where galand some how survived and made himself more powerful and zidane and kuja team up with one of vivi's children and an older eiko to take him down. something like that would be nice
