Probably because the FFVII and FFVIII games did not sell well on the PC. They are already on the PSone and made a lot of money, so it was probably a call they made not to bother with the port to the PC. I am not sure if they really changed anything aside from making it PC friendly.

Mostly the reason 7 and 8 didn't sell well on the PC is because Square did a poor job with the ports. Barely customizable and both games looked and sounded like crap.

well i have both FFVII and FFVIII on the PC and it's not too bad.
the VII's sound is pretty good,graphics are a little bit less beautiful since it's for the pc.but the omnislash technique is pretty well made in the game..i was almost suprised lol as for FFVIII well..i won't lie it s*ck3d B@LLz! sound was really crappy(except for the music which was *ok*. Videos were so-so but u could really see the pixels in the movies. so i would be pretty suprised if they made a FFIX for the pc. sure,it's incredibly well made for the PSX,but i don't really see it on the computer...ppl woudn't buy it(not everybody).

well i bought FFVII for the pc when it came out...like literally lol.
but i would be guessing where im from (in canada) it would be a range between 25-50$.

Well, for the PC, you can't really say the graphics sucked, and the sound sucked. Only becuase every computer is different, and it depends on what kind of video, and sound card you have. I bet if you were to play the games on the best video card, and the best sound card you can buy, you would change your mind. Seariously, it depends on what is in your computer. And I heard they didn't make FF9 for PC, was becuase it wasn't a popular game. It was probably one of the FF games that made the least amount of money.

Iv`ve heard a while back ago that they was making or planning on porting FF9 to pc. And I think there were pictures, but I can`t remember quiet.
