Ah, yes. That is a hard boss. The best tip I can give to you, is leave the cave and level up a few levels. That would be the best idea for it.

try to equip your party with glass armlets or buckle because that reuces water dmg by 50% or 100% wich is good as his worst attack is water based and you can raise defence for other attacks.

dude what i just did was i got quina from que's marsh and fought in the cave until their trance bars where almos full then i fought the boss and kicked his ass. also if you waste a tent on him you can see his max health

Just keep Vivi alive whatever you do and keep using Thunder which is quite effective. I used Freya to constantly heal everyone cos i didnt have Quina at that point.

Use a tent on him in the beginning, it helps ALOT. And follow the other people's tips, but I'm sure you've gotten past him by now.

if you haven't beaten him yet, would suggest leveling up and armor that absorbs or weakens water attacks.
