JMP Productions announced today that renowned video game composer Nobuo Uematsu, Japanese/American singer and songwriter Angela Aki and Grammy Award-winning maestro Arnie Roth will participate in an in-store autograph signing event at the Tower Records in Chicago on May 26, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The event takes place as part of the promotion for the premiere of the world tour of "PLAY!" at the Rosemont Theatre on May 27, 2006 and to promote the CD album "More Friends - Music from Final Fantasy," the first truly symphonic live CD of video game music ever recorded outside of Japan. source: Play-Symphony |

Hey, I think I'm the only one close to Chicago that is active here anymore. I'm about two hours south of it. Actually, I might be heading up there today at some point. I'll definitely check it out when the time comes.

I got my tickets today!!! Me and my buddy are coming up from Dayton Ohio. It should also be noted that Koji Kondo is going to be in attendance!!!!

I went to the show, and the meet and greet at Tower records the day before.
Got my FFIX signed, and met Uematsu, and then at the concert I met Yasunori Mitsuda, and got my copy of Xenogears signed and got a picture with him! I made a topic, complete with pictures, here: My Amazing 'Play! A Video Game Symphony' experience!!! Later |
