some of the movies from my childhood are still good and they are hackers,idle hand, the fifth element,etc but my favorites would be thehouse on haunted hill, ghost in the machine, helloween h2o.

I remember Space Invaders, but none of those movies are really "old" for most of us. Most of them are good though, just I suppose you were obviously born much later than us XD.

Old school movies hrmmm...

Movies that I remember when I was growing up are are Terminator 2, Jurasic Park, the Lion King, Once were Warriors (NZ movie). Well those are the earliest movies I remember watching. As for classic's all the old school horrors like the Original Nightmare on Elm Street, the first 6 Friday the 13ths etc... I use to watch a few of those Shaolin movies when I was younger as well, I forgot their names but they were definatly worth checking out. I think the quality of movies has declined since the Matrix, the only good ones seem to be the ones based on books.

Let's see.. Jason and the Argonauts (1963). Earth vs. the Flying Saucers, A Clockwork Orange, Chinatown, Die Hard, John Carpenter movies (anything he does is awesome) , Blies Brothers, Caddyshack. showing my age again I guess LOL.

Space Balls Rules, as do the Blues Brothers, and everything darksephiroth posted. I loved Hackers, and the fith element was bad ass. Another good one is Practical Magic, and The Others. Those two movies brought me to love Nicole Kidman as an actress. I think she is great the way she can play any role.

I watched A Nightmare On Elm Street when I was 6 or 7 years old and I crapped myself for months, maybe years and I couldnt ever get to sleep but when I started watching the films again about 3 years ago, I found them funny and brought back memories.

Out of the list, I adore the Fifth Element. There used to be a Fifth Element club around here, until it got closed because of the inactivity.

It was awesome while it lasted though. That movie rocks.
