How did you beat Sephiroth in KH2? (Spoilers)

In KH, they say the hardest boss is Sephiroth because of his powerful and quick movements. In KH-2 he is extremely hard. I have finally beat him in KH-2 yesterday. I was doing my combo. I had beserk on so my finishing combo wouldnt work. He was down to his last HP. I kept hitting him but he wouldnt die. I looked at my MP to see it was still charging. Im like dang it! Twice it wouldnt charge fast enough so he teleported and killed me. Finally on about the hundredth try, i beat him. The MP finally got full and i managed to use my finishing combo. But he still survived so i pressed square for an after combo move. I was like scream ohh yeah!!! Dang he was hard. I was level 72. i had two elixers and four hi potions. Oh yeah i feel so good. Have you beaten him? cant wait to here your techinque.

I beat him already, I was level 93 when I did it because I was leveling up forms and things. But it is good to have Final Form and Wisdom Form leveled, but it is best to have all of the forms leveled to some degree to get the bonus. And Sephiroth was really hard at the beginning of my tries, but I got Ultima Weapon, with MP Hastega, and MP Rage, so he was really easy. He never actually did the Meteor he was suppose to do. We were both at 1 HP and I got in the finishing combo because you have to kill him with a finishing combo and not a normal attack.

But the Paradox Hades Cup is far harder than Sephiroth in my opinion. I was lv 99 with maxed Summons and Forms and I still lost badly. The only thing that allowed me to beat it was adding 15 extra defense which saved me.

You do get the Hades Parodox cup by maxing out forms and summons right. Im going to do that later. I already maxed out final form. It will take me awhile. By the way, there are like 30 rounds to that tournament right?

It is 50 rounds of varying rules, so do not let your guard down and prepare for a lot of hours to put into the tournament. Because it will take you a long time to beat. And yes max everything, I do not think lv 99 is required for it, but it is best that you are since it is a lv 99 tournament.

hmm i beat Sephiroth at level 45 by stocking hi potions and i learned to use guard very much...and the easiest place to beat him is when he is in the air..for some reason, Retaliating Slash works well against him...

impressive at level 45. But thats the thing about this battle this go around...regardless of what level you're at its a test of SKILL, rather than how much you'd modded your character.

I was at level 80. It took me awhile to perfect my technique, but once you learn to be ever watchful for the triangle command it becomes fairly easy. Retaliating slash is a must as otherwise he WILL air juggle you, so I was able to eradicate most of his arial attacks this go around. The added magnetic effect of the pillars of flame was a nusance at first, but then I used the attack against him with the slide technique to deliver a few cheap shots at his back.

When it came time for Meteor Rain, I had previously maxed out Final Form, so I just flew around and around until the spell stopped. I love what they did with Sin Harvesting, now dubbed Heartless Angel. I always thought it was a little too easy to cancel in KH1, so the added varient of his rising to the highest point in the air made it a fun challenge...I was just lucky I had high jump, aerial dodge, and glide maxed out.

Oddly the thign that gave me the most rouble wasn't getting in the finisher on him, but was executing a finisher while the dark orbs were coming in. They were a real busance...last game you couldn't lock on them, I don't think, and they didn't have individual knockback capability. This go around they were just flat annoying.

Even at my high level though, I was suprised when I beat him.

I've heard theres a round in the Paradox Cups right before Hades where you fight Tifa, Yuffie, Cloud, and Squall all at once thats even harder than fighting Sephiroth.

I must say, I'm looking forward to it ^_^

im level 50 and cant beat him.

I beat him at lvl 47 and I used only 1 elixir fighting him.
Here are some tips if this is wrong for the forum just delete it )
This is how i beat him
First 5 Bars :

Normal ground attacks,Air attacks and the skill that reduce your hp until 1
In this stage It's best to not get damaged by sephiroth by keeping him ground based attacks.When he starts to attack Double Jump then attack him when he is finish attacking.

Next 5 bars :

(same as first stage) + Magic balls,Dark Sin, and i think it's hell fire
This is the hard part.Be sure to have Full MP.He will starting using dark magic balls around you.Use reflectga as fast as possible.Continue,sometimes later when you are close enough to him he will use Hell fire that will suck you to him and gives damage.RUN !!!Then it is either he will use dark sin(takes out your hp and mp)Lock on and and double jump then attack him OR you could use Trinity(limit)

Last 5 bars :

He glows purple.This should be the tense part.He will cast a LOT of dark balls around you and then he will quickly hits you.Use reflectga when he starts moving after casting.Attack,attack,attack.He will use Meteor Rain on you(this is easy).Keep double jump to left and right.Then you'll know what to do

It's all about the reaction command and how fast you can toss an elixir, really. It is all about skill against Sephiroth. If you just run at him, slashing away, he's going to dominate you. Especially if you don't have Second Chance.

Is it even possible to beat him without Second Chance? I know he's got that move that wipes out your MP and all of your HP. I'm not sure if he wipes out all of your HP or just takes it down to 1, but right after he does that, use an elixir and mash the hell out of the reaction command.

i beat him at level 60 in expert mode.took me like an hour to beat him .i synthesized as many elixers as i could.i didnt think da strtegy guide advise works.after he uses (something) angel attack it sends your hp to 1.after it does that, i immeadiatly use an elixr and press triangle for reaction command.

I beat him on level 72. I just ran around alot and hoped to beat him. You need to have Ultima Weapon though. Just make sure that you have all your forms leveled up. Then go get him.
