When you go to Junon in disk 1. The are where the man is drilling the soldiers. Its a tunnel looking area. That connects 2 parts of Junon, its where the elevator to go down to the deep sea area. There's a button on the wall if you push it an alarm goes off and the screen will flash with red as if a light is flashing somewhere, there you can encounter some tough enemies, but if your willing to fight them and save and heal a lot you can raise some crazy levels there. I've had most of the characters up to that point in the 50's and 60's by playing there for a while. It takes a long time but you can also master some materia there pretty well with the 2x AP weapons, but leveling always takes a while. Also since Im not playin now I cant remember exactly what they are but soon I'll notify you as to what the enemies names are and exp, etc info.

The best spot I've seen is reached on Disc 2 I believe.
It's the the cave up north that connects to the City of the Ancients. You can land in the small connecting pathway with the airship, and head south into the cave. I returned here many times with double materia, and leveled up rather quickly. The enemies are pretty easy, just boring to fight. I believe you gain about 8-12,000 exp, a nice chunk of gold.. and equiped with double materia, your materia levels nicely. |

On disc 2 and disc 3...
The forest area around mideel. Works great for me. Excellent place to grow your materia. The baddies are simple, but carry a lot of exp. and whatnot... Works best after the town is, well, you know.

On either disc two or three... there are these lovely little creatures named Vlakorados. They aren't real great for the levels that you would be fighting them through, but... if you are ever feeling low on reflexive skills... that would be your best spot to get back into your habit.
As for the Magic Pots that everyone loves so much, or so I hope. You should know they give a default exp of about 8000 exp. and 1000 ap. With triple ap weapons equipped. Great AP gain. Make sure you have plenty of elixers or megaelixers if you want the AP that badly though. Also... they can be affected by some status ailmets incase you're low on level and you want to tip the battle in your favor. These ailments are as follow... Sleep, Return, Darkness, Transfer, Poison, Paralysis and even Death. If you are ever low on Elixer however... always turn to stealing from the Tonberreys.

I know how to get easily AP and EXP in third disk...
It is little bit cheating but it doesn't matter If you know how to duplicate Elixirs, this is the best way: In north crater (when you go kill sephiroth) go fight in thereon left path and hope that you meet enemy named Magic Pot , throw it with Elixir and hit it. You will get huge amount of EXP and AP. And if you have Clouds Apocalypse it will triple your EXP and AP amount what you get from that enemy. |

I mainly use the Gelnika and frequently explore the northern cave now.I don't knwo about many other good places to train, but I can tell you avoid the Midgar Zolom (the big snake). If you're a high level and want to feel good about yourself, it's fun to own him and look impressive, but you'll get little experience and little AP

when i got to the northen crater on disc 3 i was only level 38 ^^; but i still got down to sephiroth, never beat him though, but you would kinda guess that.
When you battle tonberrys i find Bio3 to be pretty effective against him |

Alright, well as helpful as this is I think people should understand the basics of training in RPGs. Most of these certain area's depend on your items, save points, and strategy. The best places are usually close to certain health additions, like for example in FF6 when you first go into the gave there's a spring that replenishes HP/MP. You can level up decently if you have the patience. Patience is probably the biggest challenge for people, lol. Most training area's are near safe zones (towns, event area's with no monsters, etc etc), and help out a lot, as it has shown.
Or like in FFX you can find a save point and strong enemies in one area and can train without using any items. Save points in FFX heal everything, even aeons. It really takes experience to find these places though. You can either do that or check out gamefaqs.com, I'm sure some people have made guides for such things.
