Alright guys and gals of TFF. The time has come to announce the upcoming plans for the customization of your very own unique Gifts. The TFF Gift Shop!

OVERVIEW:

My Gift Shop will be the part of TFF where you may come and request to have custom Gifts made for yourself, or for donation purposes to other members. These gifts will not be specific for your post-bit, and will be widely available via purchase in the eStore gift shop where they may be purchased for yourself or donated to members using the Gold you aquire through posting and donations.

Hellbred's gift shop is also a Avatar and Signature shop. If you require a custom avatar or signature please request as needed. Avatars and Signatures are free of charge, unlike custom Gifts.

Relm is also a Gift Maker for the TFF Gift Shop. Feel free to send her requests on this thread, or in a private message. Any Gift she makes you, please donate the Gold Pieces to her, not me. She will do exactly as I have -- make/locate your gift, and send it to Fuzz for adding into the Gift Shop.

RULES:

1. Gifts cannot go against forum rules. As LocoColt exampled to me, "No porno mags". So basically keep your requests clean, as the Gift makers will not accept requests which go beyond forum rules. If you think a Mod would deny it, chances are they will.

2. Each Gift can only be 16x16 in width and height, therefore requests for a "Banana that is on fire, with a cool Harley jacket on." type requests are not possible, as the detail can't be seen. Most requests will be made, however keep in mind the tiny palette which we have to use.

3. Only short animations can be made. Requests requiring heavy animation will not be made.

4. Gifts can usually be made same day, however expect a latency of 1-2 days as I, or another Gift maker may not be online the day you make your request.

5. Your Gift will not become available for purchase until Fuzz adds your Gift to the eStore, which only he can do -- therefore please be patient in waiting for your Gift to come instock. I will send you a Private Message notifying you when it becomes available.

6. Added 4/05/2006: Pre-made images you have, or find on the Internet will be accepted as a Gift image. However -- they must be 16x16 in size. I will still have to adjust the image to look like a pixel Gift, thus allowing it to look normal once it's uploaded to the eStore. Cost of these gifts are dropped to 1000 gold pieces.

REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of one(1) month's membership to the forum PLUS at least a postcount of 250 is required before a Gift request is accepted. Both must occur, not one or the other. On top of this requirement a service fee of 1,500 Gold will be the cost of each Gift request -- paid to Hellbred, or the Gift Maker who made your gift. This service fee is to be paid before the gift is made. If after your gift is made and you're not happy with it you may request a refund by asking Hellbred, or your Gift Maker. Your Gift will not be added to the eStore.

This system will allow genuine, avid members of TFF to request gifts as well as members who prove themselves of not just stopping by for a week, requesting a gift, and never being heard from again. However, LocoColt and myself both think this is more than reasonable.

Remember -- once these Gifts are made, they become stock in the eStore. Where you or anybody else may purchase them. If you are the owner of the Gift, you may also request the Gift to be removed from the eStore.

And yes, before anyone tells him that this thread doesn't belong here, I gave him permission to post it. Also, this entire project has been cleared with Fuzz. Consider the custom gift shop open for business.

Once Hellbred completes a custom gift, it will be sent to Fuzz to be uploaded into the gift store. You can expect some delay, based on not just Hellbred's schedule, but Fuzz's as well. And please, don't abuse the poor guy. He's offering a service, so don't go all crazy with a dozen requests at once, eh? ^_^;;

Thanks for the official announcement and release notes. This certainly looks A-OK to me. I like the rules, as well... pertaining to users must have a 1+ months membership and a min. of 250 posts... this will help bring down the load in the long-run.

As Cesar pointed out, please do expect a 'little' delay on the actual gift to be uploaded... it only takes 5 seconds, but it is just a matter of me being at my computer. Shouldn't be too long of a wait though, I promise.

But seriously, having a guitar gift would be pretty 'rockin''. A few different kinds would be great - one for a Les Paul, Stratocaster, SG, Gretsch, Flying V, Explorer, Telecaster...All the greats. Still, that's a pipe dream unless I did it myself - whom has photoshop and previous experience in 16x16 graphics.................................

Infact, I'd love one of a Schecter S-1 in Red. My dream guitar is a Schecter S-1 painted standard Red and equiped with a Floyd Rose trem, SD Invader pickups, locking Grover tuners and Buzz Feiten system installed

Good question relm! I'll drop the gold cost to 1000 gold for artwork that is submitted to me. This small drop being -- everyone will want their own artwork in an icon, and I'll receive tons of requests for Gifts which are crazy-insane high resolution and still have to fumble with the image a lot.

That said, I'll update the rules -- however keep in mind this is a 16x16 icon... your submitted artwork will have to be somewhat close so I can replicate it in pixel format and so it won't be distorted.
