Help on my homework! Whats the similarities between Britain and Japan!?
Please help! I have to do a ten page project about Japan for Tuesday!! Please provide a link to the answer or just tell me straight up!

Well if you're around London, it's looking to be 4 PM Sunday afternoon for you at the time of this posting. With that said, you are not really in that big of a crunch for time, you still have Monday to research and stay up all night typing.
If I was you I'd do some online research as most libraries will close by the time you get out there to view them. Unless you live next door to one. A link to a direct answer is a little ridiculous consider it's a 10 page report. It's not like someone just has 10 pages lying around for someone to ask the question of why are they similar. I really can't help you too much on this, as I dont know much of Japan's history, but you should know more than me if you live in England. I know they are both Islands, not attached to the continental mainland. Which then means they probably import a lot of materials, since they don't have a lot of land. Which means they must have valuable exports in common, or at least valuable exports for both countries so that they can make money for the nation. Dunno....all this seems like it can be assumed, but you need to prove it and write it in your own words. Good luck on the report.

Let's see...both once introduced a 'king'/'queen' system [monarchy] but have now been reduced to a mock form..like hor Britain's Queen isn't ABSOLUTE commanding neither is the King of Japan...
Both have once conquered other places as colonies, but now no longer possess them... That's all I could think of for now.

Most of their military might lies with the seas.
Both have had a feudal era, in which Honor played a very important role. I can't remember if the early people of Britain came over the English Channel to their island, or they were always there, but if they migrated, both have broken off from another group of people to make their own country. They both have had some kind of blockade.(Britain sort of had a blockade during their Industrial Revolution, while Japan had a blockade of all foreigners dring the Edo period and the Tokugawa shogunates.) That's all I can thing of off the top of my head. Might post more later.
