Graphic Problem

Hi - just wondering if anybody could help me with a graphics problem

my screen is covered with black blocks - the game is still playable but its ruining it greatly

I have a GeForce 6 with the official GeForce driver update from eidos for FF8 but the config test of the game is saying my graphic card fails the 8-bit palette

any help appreciated

Hiya, I've had this problem but not with a GeForce 6... It would seem that if you run a OS system past Windows 98 as well, you almost always fail the 8-bit Paletted Textures. By the way, are you running it on the Primary Display Driver? If not, try that.

hi i had the same prob but all i can remember is that it has some thing to do with you registry..........i solved it form DEMONIOD but i cant get the info form it cuz they are down.

I had a problem with the graphics of mine when I rode the Ragnarok or Garden and the map would disappear in front or on the side, in this scenario I would have to drive around it till the map appeared again but thats on psx, I'm guessing your talking about the comp version...
