What do you think of the Final Fantasy XII Logo?

With the new game on the horizon(ish), the new logo for Final Fantasy XII is becoming more common on the internet. What do you think of the new logo?

The new logo looks very bold and overbearing for a FF logo, but I like that. It's a very powerful logo, suggesting an overuling power in the new world.

That is hardly a new logo, it has been around and announced since last E3. And that is a Judge in the logo if I am not mistaken, which plays a heavy influence in FFTA, and plays a strong role in FFXII. I doubt we will see the logo in anything more than the title, they will come up with some cover art, since the Japanese version seems to be the only ones that are white and logo only.

Yeah exactly, we get the full white and logo versions here in the UK. i know its been around for ages, but with the release in Japan recently, it is featuring more and more on sites. I mean it as new logo for the game, not new as in "never seen before", as you say Andromeda it was at E3

If you really want to think deeply into it:
The character pictured is clearly a judge, although he looks different than the "main" judge that plays a role in FFXII. Look at my avatar, then look at the logo, not entirely the same. Maybe we are making too many assumptions as to what that really is, but more than likely it probably is him. The streak could also be a streak of blood, for those who have lost and given their lives to defend Dalmasca. In one of the trailers it showed the streak in action, like it was put there later... maybe someone dies! But no spoilers, please, if this game is spoiled heads will fly! This is the only FF game that hasn't been spoiled for me yet, and I wish to keep it that way.

I think its pretty nice, but why would a Judge be holding 2 swords?

I know its a judge, just from your [Silvers] avatar and from FFTA.. but why 2 swords?

Maybe it's a judge like in Judge Dredd. The judges enforce the law, and sentence the criminals all at once. Like a cop, that judges on the spot

i'm sure it's gotta do with the storyline you'll find out sooner/later

i think hes cool...but all the versions up to 6 i think the logos are in the words.

Why not two swords? I think it looks pretty interesting. It also makes me feel that we'll be fighting that same character.... >_>

By the way... The Fans that do live in America, you know who you are... and myself, the release date has been annouced for Fall via Game Informer Magazine and the like. -_- So... assuming the date won't be pushed back any further... our questions shall soon be answered.

hmmm i think that maybe another suitable logo for FFXII could have been one of the airships, since the game highly revolves around airships and is used as one of the main weapons in the war, not a bad idea... eh?

Well I like the way the logo looks. it's very dark and sinister looking. But the thing is in FF's they tend to have only logos that are more subtle, I mean a guy with 2 swords is kinda intense, at least in VII it was a comet, and in VIII it was just a small picture of Rinoa and Squall. I still like it, but it just seems a tad bit differant to me.

Seems very traditional to many of the Final Fantasy's logos. Well the Japanese version that is. I wonder what the U.S. version is going to look like. I hope it is similar.
