Here is one for all of you who think I only listen to metal, and even those who don't think that, this is much for EVERYONE to check out.

A band formed under the ideals of mixing acoustics and ambience to revive the flames of the ancient times, and to reflect the world when it was in a much simpler time.

Nest consists of two members,
A. Tolonen - Kantel,. Soundcrafting, Lapland Drum, Voices, Visual Artwork, Etc.
T. Saxell - Bass, Voices, Etc.

If you wish to open your mind up and experience something unlike anything you have ever heard before you should listen to this amazing and beautiful band. They are calm and peaceful and will easily put a troubled mind to rest.

Allow these pure Finns to unlock your minds with the keys of the past and make you aware of a much more simple time, a much more beautiful way of life.

Open your minds and be shown the true beauty of the ancient world.

They remind me a lot of Agalloch and other bands of that type. A very nice find there Sir. David. I will begin my search for their albums so I can listen to their awesome sounding music.

Yes, that is one comparison I have made, even though it is such a bad one to make actually. Woodsmoke is a great release, and they also have a split with Agalloch that has an amazing song on it (by both bands) with John Haughm of Agalloch doing some vocals on it.

Overall, great band especially when you want to relax.

I'm in love with the ambient style of music, and I so want to create the style music like Agalloch do, and Nest just add to my flavour of the genre. If you have anymore bands like this, don't hesitate to tell me.

I know of two more =) Octobers Fall, they are just as beautiful as Nest. Jääportit is the other one I know of.

I am falling so deeply in love with this style of music as well. It just bleeds pure beauty.

Oh, you may also want to check out Death In June, as Agalloch gets alot of influence from them.

I've heard of Octobers Fall, but I have'nt heard their msuci, and I haven't heard of that other band fullstop.

Ever since I first heard Agalloch I've loved that style of music. when ever i'm creating a major graphic piece I stick in Pale Folklore and just create something.

Yeah, all of those bands are great. I find them to do one thing majorly to me. Remove me from the problems and and stress of this world.

Tenhi is another one you should love.

Yeah, I'll check out all of those bands when I come home tomorrow. And now that i finaly have something to record properly with, me and my firned can finaly start recording this album, and hopefully create some ambient stuff ourselves.

Well, it wont be as good as Nest nor Agalloch. But we're going to try to cover a few genres of music. From acoustic stuff, to a bit of Funeral doom to a bit of Ambient stuff. A Varied album for people who like different tastes. But anyway. We're not as good as Nest, who are brilliant in the way they make msuci sound so simple and atmospheric.

Yeah, Nest are hands down the most talented Finnish musicians I know of, that is surpassing metal legends like Demigod and even my beloved Korpiklaani.

Ah, well as good as Nest or not, I will always support people making their own music.

I'm not the type of person to know about where bands come from unless I realy like them. Like Opeth and Majesty. If they're good and I like them, thats all taht amtters to me.

At thanks for the support we're going to need it getting out ideas down and actualy recording some of these.

Yeah, I only know the country of bands due to me looking bands up on M-A, that and I find it very important to know the country that a folk related band is from.

im confused why this thread hasn't got any more replies other than me and Sir. David. This band truely is amazing, and I've been listening to them non stop since i heard them!

Yeah, believe it or not every other place I posted on got NO replies. T_T
